Since we really don't know anything, I'd add the hot coordinators to that list as well. I think the list needs to be about twice as long.

In reality, I want Chip.

I don't want Chip Kelly or Marc Trestman.

Nor do I want Norv Turner or Lovie Smith.

Any of the coordinators or college coaches are crapshoots.

Reid I can deal with, but not enthusiastically.

Wisenhunt I'm not too high on.

Do you think the Doctor who kept Everett from becoming paralyzed could fix his brown teeth?

If history is any guide, it does not matter who the fans want, or who would be the best head coach.

This team, and Ralph Wilson, don't have the first clue what to do to build a winning team. The teams of the 90's were a fluke.

Sad to say, I honestly do not think this franchise has a prayer to succeed until we get a new owner.

What does Ralph have to do with a winning team anymore? He's opened up his checkbook recently.

Absolutely no Norv or Reid - Norv because he's always been a crappy HC and Reid because he's burned out.

After that, I would be okay with any of the guys listed. I'll consider it a huge bonus if it's a high-profile winner like Cowher.

I'm warming to the idea of Lovie tbh. I think he had an awful lot of crap to put up with in Chi-town when D'Angelo was GM, and he's both got a good record, and knows the 4-3 well. A bonus would be to bring his DBs coach with him, as Byrd would almost certainly re-sign then. ;) In the opposite way to Reid (below), you'd want to be sure he's got a good OC lined up though.

Not keen on Gruden, at all, as I think he's two-faced, and that ultimately catches up with you. Possible short-term success, likely long-term fail. Can't make his mind up about QBs either.

Reid I could live with, assuming he finds a good DC to come with him. I think he'd get Spiller in space, as well as anyone else can, it's his forte.

Wisenhunt I'm dubious about. The fact he vacillated between Warner and Lineheart for a couple of years, doesn't fill me with confidence. If we were set at QB, then maybe, but we are in desperate need of one, and I wouldn't trust him to develop a guy.

Whisenhunt was 1 play away from winning a SB. He could attract a quality staff. Young and aggressive.

Give him a QB and he can win. His D was good and he has something to work with here if they aquire a couple of LB's this off-season to go with the obvious QB need.

Lovie ? Good God...

Doesn't matter who the next coach is. What matters is who's the next Quarterback. The Quarterback will make or break the next coach.

I want no part of Whisenhunt, Warner carried that team, and look at the debacle that he has been a part of since Warner left. Never liked Reid. Gruden won that super bowl with Dungy's team, and did very little after that. He never developed a QB in Tampa. Turner??? Please god no. Thats Jauron or Gailey all over again. I basicly don't want any of these re-treds, the one exception is Lovie Smith. He has always has good defenses, took the Bears to the S.B. with freakin Rex Grossman as his QB, and they canned him after a 10-6 season this year. We would be doing backflips off the peace bridge for a "losing" season like that.

So we have been linked to my #3 (Smith) and #5 (Whisenhunt).

If we can't get Gruden or Cowher I'd like Smith over Whisenhunt.

Andy Reid needs a break from coaching. His team completely quit on him this year in case noone noticed. Norv Turner is not a head coach. I don't want a spread offense coach in bad weather Buffalo so no to kelly. Don't know enough about the guy from Syracuse but he might be an option if the top tier guys don't pan out.
