Ray Lewis to retire at seasons end

Wow. One of the best to ever play.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Don't know how well he'd be able to teach kids, but you have to think he'd be a heck of a recruiter at the college level.

Will be nearly impossible to replace him in Baltimore. But if I'd trust any front office to find the next Lewis/Urlacher, it would be Baltimore's.

The good news is, the Bills play the Ravens next season.

I don't usually root for the ravens but I will be now. I'd like to see him win one more.

He should have been out of the league years ago and occupying a small 8x8 space.

it seems like he's been in the league for 30 years.

The guy was never convicted of anything. I'll be rooting for him, and also anyone who is playing against the Patriots or Niners.
