Re: What happened to GRUDEN?
I think Jon Gruden is there for the taking If he is approached the right way, but it will take more then just money.
In my opinion If Gruden was put in a position that by saying no, with the notion he would be depriving a HOF his last chance to go out on top, his love for the game of football and its history will force Gruden to take the position . Make him say no to RW's face.
Both Gruden and Bill Cowher should understand the gravity of the situation.

Re: What happened to GRUDEN?
TBH, from something I read the other day, Gruden wants an awful lot of control, and unlike a guy like Reid, he hasn't had that sort of control before. I think that would be one reason why teams aren't actively pursuing him.
He could also be valuing himself out of the market, due to having a cushy number, that's pretty well paid atm. What Gruden thinks would make it a worthwhile switch back to coaching, in terms of control and salary, may well not be something that NFL teams are prepared to put up with.
I think there are plenty of teams who would be prepared to pay him, but not to give him the degree of control he wants.
If the Bills were to hire him, I wouldn't object, but I wouldn't want him in charge of our draft etc. He has no real record of doing anything like that in the past, and I don't see that he's made much in the way of good roster moves with previous teams.
While he might fancy himself to be a terrific talent evaluator, there's absolutely nothing to see anywhere, that says he has been.
