He will likely be the Browns HC but if it was done he wouldn't continue to interview.

Yawn. Cut our losses and move on. We're not getting a fair shake after 7 hours with the Browns.

I kind of gained respect for him.

I mean why continue to interview if you're a douche and/or have already decided?

I read it like he hasn't decided yet. Ya think?

Just wishful thinking?

Like I said, exhaustive is exhausting

It's up's and down's every damn day.

For me, I was just gearing up to be stoked about Lovie Smith...

This says it very nicely... Were still in the Kelly sweepstakes:

"Continue to hear what I tweeted earlier: Kelly has not told any teams they're out of running. <s>@</s>mortreport (https://twitter.com/mortreport) says Kelly will meet w/ Buf + Phi"

He wouldn't bother going through another long and tiring interview if he already knew he was going to sign with Cleveland.

I can see this being a leverage thing, that makes the most sense too me. You can't really count anyone out because there might be a total deal that blows everyone out of the water on multiple fronts, I would think that the Browns are currently PO'd & embarrassed right now (story of their life).

I think Spiller looks really good to Chip if RB is critical to him.

I mean one report said he has "plans" for Colt McCoy...

He would have HUGE plans for Spiller then.

He's probably staying up late at night thinking about CJ, you might say that CJ will be one of the best backs in the league next year based on everything being equal.

There are a couple things you can get from him still meeting with Buffalo. 1) we know what the price is and are ok paying him it. He wouldn't entertain the meeting if his agent hadn't already let Russ Brandon know the going rate and Russ didn't say that he would be okay paying it. 2) He is intrigued by our offensive talent. out of the three teams "in the running" buffalo has enough talent to get his attention. CJ, Stevie, Chandler, and our offensive line are all built for a spread offense which is exactly what he will run (his form of the spread anyway). Not too mention our offensive line is leagues better in whole than the Browns, or Eagles. 3) Even though Nix is the GM they have probably said that Nix will handle the scouting but the Draft would be a collective effort and Kelly would get control of the 53 man roster. If he isn't in charge of all personnel he will want control of his 53 team at least. I am not saying the Bills will get him but if I am looking at this for Kelly's point of view and I have my choice I would choose the Bills if they are going to pay me the money. The Browns will take him 3 years to build to his type of team. They have zero talent at receiver, their offensive line needs some serious work and there is no depth behind Richardson and this is not to mention they don't have a qb. Philly has talent but also Jackson, Macklin, Mccoy, and their whole offensive line are about as injury prone as it gets. IMO Bills have a chance.

CB gives Mort's answer as to why he's doing all three interviews:

http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2013/01/04/why-kelly-choosing-to-meet-with-all-3-clubs/

"Per Mortensen’s report (http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8814457/sources-chip-kelly-oregon-ducks-meets-cleveland-browns-talk-buffalo-bills-philadelphia-eagles), Kelly wants to go through the full interview process, something he did not do last offseason when he agreed to only interview with Tampa Bay, a job he subsequently turned down.

Mortensen also reported that there is a $3 million buyout for Kelly’s contract with Oregon."

So if, and it's an assumption, we interviewed no one today does that not mean we may be waiting on Chip to decide what he want's to do?

If you don't consider Chip realistic or don't want him why not continue to interview.

Supposedly were interviewing McCoy but there has been no official word that I have found.

For what Chip does best on offense I would rate the teams as follows:

Bills = Eagles > Browns: Bills have an Oline & RBs but lack QB & WR; Eagles have RB & WR but lack Oline & QB; Brown have a very traditional ground & pound offense plus they need Oline, WR, & maybe QB.

* It comes down to organizational fit, power over player acquisition, & $$$
* Don't be surprised if Chip goes back to Oregon that being said the Ducks might be facing NCAA sanctions and he might bolt to NFL ala Pete Caroll.
