Manziel is only a freshman, right? If so he has another 2 years before he can be drafted.

He isn't even eligible for the 2014 draft. The earliest he could turn pro is 2015.

Johnny Manziel is a redshirt freshman, and therefore, would not be eligible for entry to the spring 2013 NFL Draft.

However, after next season, when Manziel completes his redshirt sophomore season, he will be 3 years removed high school graduation. Manziel would be eligible, and therefore have the choice, to enter the spring 2014 NFL Draft.

Tank the season, draft Manziel in 2014.

He can enter the 2014 Draft,

But if the Bills have the first pick he probably won't.

He's a redshirt Freshaman, so he's eligible for the 2014 draft.

Some of the worst QB mechanics I've ever seen, but he gets it done. Isn't asked to throw over 15 yards often, showed some good downfield accuracy last night. Lots of question marks, he's no lock prospect.

Walter Football already have the Jets taking him 3rd. The Bills with a meaningless win against the Jets near the end of the season they have picking 6th.

6. Buffalo Bills: Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson
2013 NFL Mock Draft selection: Matt Barkley, QB

General manager Buddy Nix said the Bills will target a franchise quarterback in the 2013 NFL Draft. A year later, they should get that QB some weapons. Watkins would be a big addition to Buffalo's offense.

3. New York Jets: Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M
2013 NFL Mock Draft selection: Dion Jordan, OLB/DE

The Jets go for a franchise quarterback with Johnny Football landing in the Big Apple.

Manziel took college football by storm as a first-year starter on his way to winning the Heisman Trophy. The redshirt freshman has completed 68 percent of his passes for 3,419 yards, 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Manziel has also run for 1,342 yards (1,181 net) with 19 touchdowns. Alabama's defense, laden with NFL talent, was incapable of stopping him. The signal-caller should only get better as he gains experience.

The concern that Manziel (6-1, 200) is undersized is being eased by the quality play of some other short NFL quarterbacks. Drew Brees is a dominant force and future Hall of Famer; Russell Wilson has had a phenomenal rookie year to help disprove the height requirement. If Manziel maintains his current level of play, a team will be willing to overlook the height issue.

I could be wrong, but I see us going 3-13 next year (the optomist in me says 4-12). I hope I'm wrong.

Kingofnyc - You are correct here. What makes him unique is that he's 20 and has off the charts pure football instncts. Even if not often, when asked to go down field he has with good touch and accuracy. Still, we will see how he looks next year without the stud OT's who allow for him to move around so well in and out of the pocket.

Right, I'm not concerned with his size like some. Much like Tannehill his best weapons is his offensive line. Do a great job block for him and easily turns the corner when he wants to run.

Hate how he drops his eye level at the first sign of trouble, mechanics are a big issue, but I think his arm is good enough especially if he throws with better mechanics. Constantly makes throws without stepping into it, even falls away, but it still gets there. He's a strange prospect, even runs awkwardly but it doesn't matter because he's really elusive.

i bet you were thinking the same thing for the last 13 years and even in 2012 when Luck & RG3 were available. I bet if you could somehow go back & lose those games & get Luck you would do it

When are people going to learn. Being mediocre keeps you mediocre. The Bills have to all out suck. It happened in the 80's and see what happened afterwards?

there is only one way this team becomes a contender... Just 1 way! They have to acquire a future HOF QB anything else will be a tease at best...

i don't care if you Lombardi, Parcels, Walsh, etc coaching with Fitz or even Smith no one is winning a SB... But with Manning or Brady you have a chance.

Agreed, teams that are contenders year in and year out have a great Quarterback.

No way he leaves Texas A&M early anyways unless he win the BCS Championship next year, which is not out of the realm of possibility. I just think he's a 4 yr dude at college.

This is our Bills y not just tank every season till he comes out keep our good players signed and get some weapons for when he does come out in the draft he did red shirt so it could be 3 years till he comes out we could have our OL built up another prime WR and him as our QB and a great TE wait this is the Bills even tanking a season they would screw that up and win a couple of games

Yup, I know this team even better than I thought I did. I was afraid they would hire Wisenhunt and well they managed to hire a candidate who was even less qualified. Yeah, this team is going 3-13 next year because no matter how hard the optimists and the Bills brass will try to polish this turd they forget that a polished turd is still a turd.

An excellent choice if Johnny doesnt come out.

Best case scenario is Johnny Football stays in school, the Bills tank the next 2 seasons. Draft Clowney and then Manziel.

You want a team to absolutely implode? Tank a season. Nobody does that.

Those of you talking about QB being the one thing teams need to contend, that is mostly true, but you don't win without an O-line and a defense, either.

Coach --> QB --> O-line --> Defense --> Offensive skill talent = contender

The Bills don't have the two basic ingredients to get it done and there is no sure thing coming anytime soon, either.

Everything starts and ends with the QB position.

I get what you're saying here but there isn't a large enough sample on Johnny Football and there are some big concerns with him...not too mention he may not even come out next year.

What happens if you tank 2013 to take him and he doesn't come out? What do you do then?

What happens if you tank 2013 and you do draft him and he absolutely sucks?

Manziel isn't tabbed a can't miss guy like Luck was.
