All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Manziel is only a freshman, right? If so he has another 2 years before he can be drafted.
Johnny Manziel is a redshirt freshman, and therefore, would not be eligible for entry to the spring 2013 NFL Draft.
However, after next season, when Manziel completes his redshirt sophomore season, he will be 3 years removed high school graduation. Manziel would be eligible, and therefore have the choice, to enter the spring 2014 NFL Draft.
He's a redshirt Freshaman, so he's eligible for the 2014 draft.
Some of the worst QB mechanics I've ever seen, but he gets it done. Isn't asked to throw over 15 yards often, showed some good downfield accuracy last night. Lots of question marks, he's no lock prospect.
Walter Football already have the Jets taking him 3rd. The Bills with a meaningless win against the Jets near the end of the season they have picking 6th.
General manager Buddy Nix said the Bills will target a franchise quarterback in the 2013 NFL Draft. A year later, they should get that QB some weapons. Watkins would be a big addition to Buffalo's offense.
3. New York Jets: Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M
2013 NFL Mock Draft selection: Dion Jordan, OLB/DE
The Jets go for a franchise quarterback with Johnny Football landing in the Big Apple.
Manziel took college football by storm as a first-year starter on his way to winning the Heisman Trophy. The redshirt freshman has completed 68 percent of his passes for 3,419 yards, 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Manziel has also run for 1,342 yards (1,181 net) with 19 touchdowns. Alabama's defense, laden with NFL talent, was incapable of stopping him. The signal-caller should only get better as he gains experience.
The concern that Manziel (6-1, 200) is undersized is being eased by the quality play of some other short NFL quarterbacks. Drew Brees is a dominant force and future Hall of Famer; Russell Wilson has had a phenomenal rookie year to help disprove the height requirement. If Manziel maintains his current level of play, a team will be willing to overlook the height issue.
Kingofnyc - You are correct here. What makes him unique is that he's 20 and has off the charts pure football instncts. Even if not often, when asked to go down field he has with good touch and accuracy. Still, we will see how he looks next year without the stud OT's who allow for him to move around so well in and out of the pocket.

Right, I'm not concerned with his size like some. Much like Tannehill his best weapons is his offensive line. Do a great job block for him and easily turns the corner when he wants to run.
Hate how he drops his eye level at the first sign of trouble, mechanics are a big issue, but I think his arm is good enough especially if he throws with better mechanics. Constantly makes throws without stepping into it, even falls away, but it still gets there. He's a strange prospect, even runs awkwardly but it doesn't matter because he's really elusive.
