NFL network is reporting the cowboys are letting go of Rob Ryan. I'll take a pass

Pettine knows the exact same 46 D without all the "look at me " Ryan family drama.

Maybe he can join his brother and tag team an Arena league franchise in Somalia?

Not really difficult to connect the dots on this one....

No chance he joins the JETS

I don't like the Ryan boys, but I'll take Ryan Sr. if he's available so long as he could give us something similar to the 85 Bears D or even the late eighties and early nineties gang green Eagle D.

Why not?

Honestly, I was pretty disappointed with what he brought to the table in Dallas.

I'd take a Rex D over a Rob D any day!

Honestly, I was pretty disappointed with what he brought to the table in Dallas.

He had 7 starters injured on D this year and they still were pretty decent. Jerry is out of his mind for firing him.

Rob was alright in Cleveland and then I don't know what happened to him in Dallas.

He'll catch on elsewhere.

I'm well aware, but the defense got worse the longer he was here. Whether it was missed tackles, the lack of blitzing (in a 3-4 by the way), lack of press coverage (with CB's that are clear press CB's), having more than the allotted 11 players on the field multiple times in multiple games, the complete lack of turnovers, the yearly decrease in sacks, or being somewhat of a jackass, the guy just wasn't performing at an acceptable level. I'm at every game, and watching it all play out from the stands just boggles the mind. The simplistic, almost high school level scheme just wasn't fooling anybody. Even the lack of performance aside, the guy just wasn't liked by Jerry or Garrett, and they made it known. He's a totally different type of personality, and it just wasn't mending with what Garrett wants.

I really want Pettine.

As a DC, there's probably nobody better that's currently available. Maybe Horton, but his scheme wouldn't fit the Bills' personnel.
I really want Pettine.
