Really no one knows what Marrone will turn out or how his coordinators will do. Each seems to walk onto the big stage or come out of some big shadows first time. There are certainly more incentive for these guys other than the money vs the old and tried guys like Whiz, Norv, Lovie etc. The law of average would say not all of them are going to be successful. Heck they can all fold and be bums.
But I gotta give Russ Brandon credit in one thing. the Bills are now more aggresive than they ever were in the past for however many years. They were aggresive in jumping in to get Marrone before the Browns and Eagles having a chance; they are aggresive in hiring Hackett and Petine. The old way might be waiting to the end of the superbowl to see some of the big names falling through to them (withing getting the HC gig).
This is indeed a culture change.
Let's hope it continues with FAs. Maybe the messages have been already sent.
