Vote on which day would be best for you to hold our draft.

Well, I forgot to click on the poll, so just write in your answer.

Either Sunday, August 17th, or Sunday, August 24th. If neither of them days work, then let me know.

i'd prefer the 24th

Either day is fine, I think, but largely depends on what time on the day.

The later the better so the 24th is better. Also, I don't want to draft on my birthday.

24

I'm not going to be here the 24th, so I say the 17th.

Voltron

I can't on the 17th at all. My parents are moving and I have to be there. the 24th for me is it.

Mr. Miyagi

Looks like 24th is the day.

BillsFever

Dozer can't make the 24th and Voltron can't make the 17th

Somebody is going to have to either cancel a commitment, drop out of the league, or give one of us their player ranking and have us draft for them.

BillsOwnAll

things could happen...i dont have anything planned for either.

Who wants to volunteer to help me with the draft?

Gunzlingr

What does it pay?

I will help however I can! :D

BillsFever

It pays $0,000. You can't pass up this deal, gunz :D

I'll be posting the draft picks in a thread at BFZ to keep track of our picks, so I'll need somebody else to help me keep track of the time between picks, and make sure it runs smoothly. If somebody pulls off a draft day trade then I'll have to attend to that too. I don't really see many/any trades but you never know.

The faster we can get the picks in the better. We're looking at 3 hours if it runs at the speed of lightning.

BillsFever

It'd be nice to get in at least 3 rounds an hour.

What's annoying in a draft is when somebody knows who they are choosing, but stalls to the last second to make it. When you're sure then make your pick.

If you're organized going into the draft, it shouldn't take you long to make your pick. The only time I use the entire time limit is when a couple players fall that I wasn't expecting, then I have to choose which one I want.

Or when you run out of beer and have to make a run to the fridge in the garage. :snicker:

17th is better for me, i may be at a wedding on the 24th.

so everyone is opposed to a thread draft, huh?

Mr. Miyagi
07-11-2003, 03:11 PM
I'm all for a thread draft. It's BFever who has a problem with it.

BillsFever

Can you imagine how long it would take to do a thread draft? I don't even wanna imagine.

Plus, a draft is supposed to be about split second decisions. Not having all day to decide what you wanna do.

It doesn't matter to me though, I would have a thread draft. But it would take forever.

A thread draft would take at least a week and that's if we got in about 2 rounds everyday.

BillsFever

I don't care how we draft to tell you the truth. We could make it a thread draft if that's what everybody wants.

Sabre Ally can make her pick whenever she wants, and then if the rest of us had our picks in we could do it then. We could have an offical week or two for our picks, but if anybody in the drafting order wants to get theirs in early then go ahead.

It's up to you guys, let me know.

Mr. Miyagi

Either way is fine with me. It just seems that we can't get everyone together at the same time. Maybe whoever can't make whichever date it is can give someone a draft sheet and have them draft for him/her.

Halbert
07-13-2003, 08:30 PM
Currently I can do either date, but I would always choose the later one. Hate those preseason injuries, you know.

A Draft thread started on the 24th isn't a bad idea either, which would give about 10 days to complete, what, 16 rounds. But you'd have to commit to checking several times a day, which everybody might not be able to do. Then what?

I'll help with the draft if you need it.

Halbert

Did you decide on where we're hosting it, btw? Just curious.

BillsFever
07-13-2003, 08:36 PM
I haven't given any thought as to where we're hosting it. Any chatroom that all of us can get to will do.

I think it'd be pretty tough to get all 14 owners able to check in 2-3 times a day for 7-10 straight days.

All it takes is for one person not being able to check in and make his pick, and it throws everything off.

I know in my case from 12:30-10pm I wouldn't be able to check in and pick unless it was on my day off.

Michael82

I prefer either Thursday August 28th or Friday August 29th. These are my days off and I work on Sunday nights...so I sleep during the day.

As long as I know far enough in advance, it doesn't matter, my work schedule is made up only a week ahead of time.
