I don't know how legit these numbers are, but according to John Clayton the Bills should have about $20.6 million in cap space right now before making any roster moves. That puts the Bills 7th in the league if those numbers are correct. There seems to be a lot of concern over the Bills ability to re-sign Byrd and Levitre, but it looks like the team is in pretty good shape compared to the rest of the league. There's still quite a few moves they could make too that would save a significant amount.

Levitre and Byrd can be resigned and if both have a good portion in guaranteed money and signing bonus they shouldn't kill that cap room.
If it's done right we could see Levitre at 7-8 per with a cap figure of 4.5 and Byrd at 8 per with a cap figure of 5 next year.
I could see one big namer, and a higher level contract plus the draftee's and lower level resignings.
The Jets, NO, Car, Dal, and Wash all have to trim. Expect the free agent market to get a boost.
One rumored cut is LB Johnathan Vilma... I'd take him.
The Jets have Sanchez, Bart Scott, Calvin Pace, and Eric Smith as potential cuts.Last edited by X-Era; 01-09-2013, 04:20 PM.

But I think cuts are coming with a new regime. Kelsay (4+), Brad Smith (2.75), and certainly Fitz (4.5) are targets. That adds back another 10 or so.
McGee at 2+ and Barnett at 3+ in savings could also be targetsLast edited by X-Era; 01-09-2013, 04:41 PM.
