Word is that Colts G.M. Bill Polian is facing heavy pressure to produce a contender in 2003, or he could be gone.
A league source tells us that Jimmy "the Juice" Irsay wants a better on-field product, in order to enhance his leverage in discussions with City officials aimed at scoring a new stadium for the Colts courtesy of the taxpayers.
So if the Colts don't make the playoffs -- or if they flame out (again) in round one -- look for a change to be made at the top of the organization.
