i just don't understand hecht at all. it is truly mind-boggling how this team operates. bring back a concussed useless player in his mid 30's. There must be such a dearth of talent in the farm.

i just don't see how this team is any different from last year at this point barring grigs elevating the play of everyone around him. and lets not forget that the knock on him is that he doesn't try all the time.

Only because he's Russian. He's been working hard, the one time he had "lazy" play he actually had mono in juniors... That's why he slid. An illness and being Russian.

You think mono is why he slid. I can think of at least 2 players that got drafted in the first round that didn't play in their draft year at all. Probably right about the Russian though.

Before he got mono and his play dropped, he was projected to go 2nd overall behinds Nails. I hope that scouting report was correct.

But like I was saying, everyone knows he had mono. So I doubt that the illness induced slump was the reason. You can always hope though.

I think Grigs' play in the Q this season was a nice F U to those who bypassed him in the draft.

Their loss.

I suppose. The Q isn't the NHL though.

Didn't say it was.

Then again, 50 points in 32 games with the Remparts this season is STILL nothing to sneeze at. Had Grigs not made Buffalo's roster, you can make the case that he'd match or surpass it.

This is true. Better than if he was putting up doughnuts. I hope for you guys he does work out.

AND that he gets treated right. If you haven't noticed, Lindy's not exactly known at times for handling his players; the most recent player he seems to have F'ed up is Luke Adam, who-after a great start-started spinning his wheels and he still hasn't gotten fully back on track yet.

Mono is a real b-word.

Do you finally think that he is on the hot seat?
