I'd rather keep him for depth and give them Fitz or Thigpen. UFA will have his say.

I really see no point in getting rid of T. Jackson. He needs to be signed and given an opportunity to win a QB competition. At worse, he's a capable backup that won't cost gazillions.

Roger that, no Jackson but they can have Fitzpatrick.

I still want to know why we traded for him only to never dress him.

They had better sign him soon so that he has ample time to learn the playbook.

This rumor is actually a couple of days old now. It's not really worth paying much attention to yet. There is no actual confirmation that the Jets are even remotely interested in Tarvaris Jackson. It's only being speculated because the Jets new GM was with Seattle when Jackson was there. JMO

The Jets should make up a coaching dream team of Jauron, Gailey, Wannstedt, and Mularkey. Imagine all of the potential!

The coaching staff was worried that IF Fitzpatrick got injured we didn't have a serviceable backup on the roster going into Week 1. So Jackson was an insurance policy that we never got to cash in on, plain and simple.

plain and simple. Much like Gaileys actual playcalling.

He signed last year with the expectation he was at least going to be active for some of the games, whatever Buffalo told him. While the coaching staff that would not activate him is gone, Buddy Nix, with whom he probably spoke leading up to his signing is still the GM. I could easily see him taking the same money or less to sign elsewhere out of spite and the hope that he has a better chance to play. If that's the way he feels, there's really not a whole lot the Bills can do about it, short of throwing a boatload of money at him.

They hired David Lee to be their QB coach also, so that could either help or hurt the Jets chances of snagging TJax, depending on what their opinion of each other is...
