So, DTV decided it didn't want to record the first period. I turned it on right as the 2nd started to see Vanek in the box of a double minor? Wtf?

To be fair, the Sabres got two or 3 scoring chances right after he came out of the box, largely due to Vanek's play. But that's the kind of huge mistake that hurts the team. The first penalty, fine, but the additional two for unsportsmanlike is inexcusable. Teams will not win when their top players pull that crap.

He took an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, and an offensive zone penalty with just over 2 min left in a game where his team was down by one goal. All his offensive heroics did was negate the stupid ****. At the end, it's break-even. He hurt the team as much as he helped.

And this is the alternate captain with the biggest cap hit who is supposed to be the best offensive player on the team.

The Bruins played their best game against Carolina in years last night. They really dominated although the scoreboard doesn't exactly show that the Bruins outplayed Carolina for about 70% of the game. Very shocking since they're probably 2-6 vs that team over the last two seasons.
