All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Go ahead and make a guess on the date that lindy gets fired. Rumor has it from low level sabre employees that pegula is getting very frustrated with the whole thing. his new toy isn't so shiny anymore. That was the first i heard that the sabres are even watching the same pathetic hockey as me.
I'm going with Feb 28th.
but look forward to the july statute of lindy being erected outside the stadium.
For some reason I think it wouldn't happen until after the season. I mean, we're already working with only half a season, my guess is he'd give him this short year to try and get things going in the right direction.

as i've said several times, i think this season, as lost as it is, requires a bold move to see your players as they are. There is enough time for them to get the message. they can undo some of their poor work and possibly sneak into the playoffs, right now. the longer they hold lindy, the more impossible this gets. this way you can judge the talent on its own with ruff gone.
if by trade deadline, they aren't up to snuff, sell the big name players for picks and prospects and start over and let the new coach in on getting some of those players.
by waiting until the trade deadline or off season, you potentially postpone a potentially needed rebuild another season. you'll still carry the wrong roster because you still haven't addressed the question "is it lindy or is it the players." As a result, you have to do the above in the 2013-14 season. this is very buffalo bills of the sabres to do. take an extra year to figure out what everyone else already knows.
Pegula was a fan who essentially had a 3 year plan to get to a cup. Now at the start of year 3, he's finding himself still at square 1. realizing you've got a problem is the biggest part of problem solving.
I want the fan experience to improve. And it doesn't require any more gimicks like stadium adjustments and big sales days. it requires winning.
Don't expect Sabres GM Darcy Regier to fire coach Lindy Ruff

Lindy Ruff is the longest-tenured coach in the National Hockey League. And though the Buffalo Sabres are slow out of the gate again, Ruff's job seems safe for now.
There have been some increasingly loud calls coming out of Buffalo for GM Darcy Regier to finally part ways with his good friend as the team could use a jolt. Regier has heard these calls, but that doesn't mean he's listening to them.
