In no particular order...

1.) Chase Warmack - Levitre is gone.
2.) Dee Milliner - we're the Bills and you can never have enough CBs.
3.) Tyler Wilson - we have to start rolling the dice at some point.

I felt the need to do 2 lists.. The 3 guys I want arent likely to drop to 8

1)Star Lotulelei
2)Luke Joeckel
3)Geno Smith

The "at least 50/50 or better these guys wil l be available at 8" list
1) Eric Fisher
2) Dee Milliner
3)Corradelle Patterson

My three in order:
1.) Jarvis Jones, OLB- He is a duplicate of Von Miller in a lot of ways!
2.) Chance Warmack, OLG- Ourlads' has a scout already saying this guy is the BPA in the whole draft!
3.) Keenan Allen, WR- The best WR in the entire draft, and the next Andre Reed (I'm hoping!!)

Cordarrelle Patterson
Warmack
Jordan

I'm listing the three that I think will be there.

This draft class is awful across the board.

At first I thought it was just a weak QB class -- but the more I look at the positional rankings, the more I'm shocked by the complete dearth of talent everywhere.

Tyler Wilson
Matt Barkley
Ryan Nassib

Tyler Wilson
Ryan Nassib
Matt Barkley

My concern with Barkley would be his arm strength in Cold windy Buffalo.

If we are going to draft a Guard at 8, we may as well just pay Levitre

Warmack, Datone Jones, Alex Okafor.

Woudn't mind if Milliner dropped to us, or took a flyer on J.Jones if he's still there.

Stay very far away from QB's.

I just saw a comparison of Barkley & Nassib. Nassib was the winner hands down. I have not been a fan of Nassib, but after seeing that I would definately take him over Barkley.

I think all 3 will be there and one will likely be the pick. Dion Jordan is a sleeper at 8 as well

So the argument against resigning Levitre is that it makes no sense to pay a guard 8 million a year. The positon is the least valuable and easiest to replace. However it is worth spending a top ten pick on?

Decastro was supposed to be the best player in the draft last year too, "the best interior prospect to come out in years". He went 24th overall.

Joeckel,Fisher,Warmack = instant starters on the OL . Any one of them

No to QB's and those LB's all come with question marks. I have no such questions with those 3 lineman.

Might be the plan, with Levitre being so expensive. Glenn could play either Tackle or Guard postion. Get your LB, SS in FA.

May be able to keep Byrd then.

Buddy put us in this position with that bad Fitz contract. Have to do the best with the current situation.

I'm sure a couple more cuts are coming soon, to free up more $.

As of right now:

Geno Smith
Alec Ogletree
Jarvis Jones/Damontre Moore

I can't decided between Jones and Moore at this stage.

I get the idea that drafting Warmack to replace Levitre is not improving your team nearly as much as re-signing Levitre and drafting another position. I totally agree.

Not everyone felt that way about Decastro last year, though. I didn't even think he was the best guard in the draft.

Love the optimism.

As stated earlier in the thread, replacing a top 5 guard talent with a rookie top 1 in whatever class is asinine, so if we don't get Levitre back and draft Warmack that's OBD's fault (again, per usual).

Since FA hasn't happened yet and we have nothing else to talk about I won't tear in to this thread for being too early and vague, but I will say that at this point with the holes we have now, IF we were to take anyone under these circumstances I would want Patterson.

Here's the deal... If Levitre signs elsewhere for $9 mil per and we draft Warmack at $5 million per, and then take that $4 million to fill another hole via free agency (LB)... I necessarily won't have an issue.

However.. Our modus operandi is to let Levitre walk. Replace him with a 5th roun pick from ASU Tuscon Campus along with plugging in someone like Keith Ellison to play linebacker.

but hey... Mario and his 10 sacks are here and were relevant again.

I agree with the felt need to have two lists. That's because, while it's likely none on the first list will drop to #8, it's not impossible.

My "A" list:
1) Geno Smith
2) Damontre Moore
3) Bjorn Werner

My "B" list: (who are all likely to be available)
1)Cordarelle Patterson
2)Barkevious Mingo
3)Jonathon Banks

Ignorant and not funny.

Mario Williams is the lead siren for what is wrong with this organization.

This ****ing guy counts $12.4 million against the cap this year.

For what? 10 sacks against scrub RTs? To not vocally lead? to have super top secret wrist surgeries during bye weeks? to really make no difference whatsoever?

$12.4... $12.4... $12.4...

MILLION!

That's Levitre and Phil Loadholdt as far as I'm concerned.

Healthy?

My so-called "obsession" with Fool's Gold is not only healthy... it's a VITAL mindset for SUCCESS!

i like that logic. A top 10 pick is to valuable to use to replace a top player that we already have. That is just spinning your wheels. Pay Levitre!

Your vision is too restricted.

What would you rather have in exchange for an expenditure of 8 million dollars.

A starting left guard...or...a starting left guard, another starter at a position of need, and a back-up?

The cap # for the eighth pick this year is going to fall between 2.5 mil and 3mil. That leaves 5.5 to 5mil for other players.
