Bart Scott released by the Jets

The New York Jets needed to make a lot of roster changes to get under the salary cap and cutting veteran linebacker Bart Scott was one of those moves.

Possibly heading to the Bills? He would provide good depth and is familiar with the system we are going to run.
    2018 Mock:
    1a Mason Rudolph QB
    1b Vander Esch LB
    2a James Washington WR
    2b James Daniels C
    3a Harrison Phillips DT
    3b Geron Christian OT

Shine & Gannon were talking about him joining the Bills. Gannon said when a Coach goes to a new team, he likes to take a player or two with him from his old team. They act as Coaches on the field, helping other players get used to the new system.

      He's probably already in Buffalo.

Pretty much any FA linebacker would be an upgrade on the Bills right now.

The article made it sound like Bart Scott was a locker room problem. Is he?

Would rather have the system taught to a young kid and let him run with it then delay things with a LB who is aging and can't cover. Would be same as Barnett.

Jets are getting rid of these guys for a reason.

Really the main reason is most of the players that they are releasing is a cap casualty. Bring in Scott at Vet minimum and go from there.

Between Revis & Sanchez the Jets are WAY over the cap. The guys they cut also counted for a LOT of money against the cap.

Scott is ****ing awful, they won't sign this bag of ****, he hardly played last year. Better off keeping Barnett.

I dont see how you bring in Scott after cutting Barnett. Both are on theh decline but Barnett is the better player right now.

The Jets are like $7mill over the cap..........but I believe they only have like $1mill to spend since about $6mill is for the rookies coming up.

I don't necessarily want Scott, but it would be understandable if Pettine does. I would rather get Landry myself.
