Dont think he was the reason for the downfall but I wonder if that is to make room for a trade soon.

Strange move. The guy's a fourth liner- what did they expect from him?

Oh yeah that reminds me of another Lindy blunder: demoting Stafford then putting Kaleta on the 2nd line and sitting Grigs instead of.... Wait for it.... Just sitting Stafford, putting Grigs on the 2nd line and leaving Kaleta where he was.
What did Stafford do against Wpg that Grigs couldn't have done? I'm sure he could have handled passing it to a defenseman in a 2 on 1 just fine.

They must want him in Rochester. That's what he gets for hustling. He was making Stafford look bad.
Maybe Ruff goes hardcore and just starts the whole 7 DMEN being dressed on a perm role?!? I mean, they have so any they can just bench who makes the first glaring mistake for the rest of the game!

laughable move. cody was an excellent 4th liner. always gives a a full effort, always a physical force. the problem is the management thinking he could be anything more.
i'd rather have 23 cody mccormicks at 2mm a season than 23 staffords, hechts, connolly's and other guys who they routinely threw more money at and performed with much less effort.
