Expected...but am wondering if this moves now is gonna make Whaley the official GM following the draft with Buddy staying on as an advisor/consultant/lead scout

It didn't sound like Buddy was ready to ride off into the sunset just yet. I'd guess he finishes the year and maybe even the 2014 draft. That'll probably do it. Either way, you know Whaley's going to have a huge voice in things from here on out. That gives us some much needed hope.

Nix looks clearly uncomfortable posing in pics with new hire Marrone and other pics since the Chan firing. Maybe he's surprised he wasn't fired.

Why do I get the feeling with this long term signing of Whaley that Nix is not the GM after the draft ?

Is Whaley responsible for the last 3 years of personnel? What track record of success does he have?

Good.

A new, young coach with a new, young staff and soon-to-be new, young GM.

Maybe we'll finally get the shot in the ass we've been looking for.

Maybe you forgot but Buddy Nix was the GM for the last three years.

very good news....

Some could ague the Bills lost their heir apparent a few years ago when let Marc Ross go to the Giants.

Eh. He's unproven as far as I'm concerned. Don't hate it but it's nothing to get all excited about imo.

T, I was thinking the same thing when this news broke.
Something is up if you ask me.
Then again I think we all know he is next in line unless he took another job for GM..
