Kansas City (2-14) -- Luke Joeckel -- OT -- Texas A&M -- Now that Alex Smith to KC is confirmed, Joeckel to KC #1 overall makes perfect sense. Brandon Albert is a FA and not the best pass protector anyway. Joeckel will remind Alex Smith of Joe Staley.

Jacksonville (2-14) -- Jarvis Jones -- OLB -- Georgia -- It used to be that small pass rushers would only go to 3-4 teams but Von Miller and Bruce Irvin have broken that theory. A player like Jarvis Jones will be used creativley in Gus Bradley's attack style 4-3 defense.

Oakland (4-12) -- Demontre Moore -- The Raiders need help all over their defense and offense for that matter. Moore makes them tougher up front and also gives them a true pass rusher on the edge.

Philadelphia (4-12) -- DeMarcus Milliner -- CB -- Alabama -- The Eagles were bad on defense, everywhere. Nnamdi is older and underperforming and DRC won't be back. The value is simply too good here for the Eagles to pass up although they are torn between Dee and Dion Jordan who Kelly coached at Oregon. Value wins.

Detroit (4-12) -- Ezekiel Ansah -- DE -- BYU -- The Lions need pass rush help and help defending the run. Ansah is versatile and an athletic freak that has the ability to line up anywhere along the line. Ansah on the edge with Suh inside would be dangerous.

Cleveland (5-11) -- Bjoern Werner -- DE/OLB -- Florida State -- Pretty much a no brainer pick for Cleveland. They are going back to the 3-4 defense and desperately need a pass rusher. Werner is just that.

Arizona (5-11) -- Geno Smith -- QB -- West Virginia -- A little risky here but a solid pick for a team with no identity. Smith has loads of potential and can make a lethal tandem with Larry Fitz. The Cards have no choice but to make this pick, if Smith were to explode somewhere else they would look foolish.

Buffalo (6-10) -- Dion Jordan -- OLB/DE -- Oregon -- This was a tough decision between Xavier Rhodes and Jordan but pass rushers are a premium and Jordan has "Freak" potential in the mold of a JPP or Aldon Smith. If you're going to play an attack style defense you need speed and athleticism. Jordan has loads of that off the edge as well as the ability to cover in the flat or short areas. Perfect fit for Pettine's defense.

New York Jets (6-10) -- Barkevious Mingo -- DE/OLB -- LSU -- The Jets purged their defense and are going to need to reload their LB corps which is key to their defense. Mingo is a pure pass rusher who would take on the Calvin Pace role.

Tennessee (6-10) -- Xavier Rhodes -- CB -- Florida State -- Tennessee struggled big time in pass coverage as they never replaced Finnigan. Rhodes is a big, physical corner that fits their scheme nicely.

San Diego (7-9) -- Eric Fisher -- OT -- Central Michigan -- Domino effect of the Alex Smith trade pushed Fisher away from the Cardinals and into their laps. Rivers will have the protection he needs off the blind side and goes on to have a pro bowl season.

Miami (7-9) -- Cordarrelle Patterson -- WR -- Tennessee -- Miami needs to be more explosive on offense, Patterson is all about explosive and Tannehill will have a go to guy.

Tampa Bay (7-9) -- David Amerson -- CB -- N.C. State -- Amerson is an extremely talented CB that is a turnover machine, he had a few terrible games in 2012 but this kid can play and Tampa need talent at CB to complete what is a very young and talented defense.

Carolina (7-9) -- Star Lotulelei -- DT -- Louisville -- His stock dropped a little due to health concerns but he's still a top 10 talent and the Panthers need that in their interior as they have struggled to stop the run for a long time now.

New Orleans (7-9) -- Alex Okafor -- OLB/DE -- Texas -- The run on pass rushers continues in a pass happy league. Okafor is a beast off the edge that will fit well in Rob Ryan's scheme.

St. Louis (7-8-1) -- Chance Warmack -- OG -- Alabama -- The Rams could use a WR here but the value on Warmack is too high. Their run game would benefit from an elite OG and Bradford would benefit from a consistent run game.

Pittsburgh (8-8) -- Keenan Allen -- WR -- Cal -- Pittsburgh could potentially lose 2 of their top 3 WRs. Allen gives Rothlesberger a big time threat on the outside with size and great hands.

Dallas (8-8) -- Shariff Floyd -- DT -- Florida -- Many have said that Floyd reminds of them of Warren Sapp. A typical 3-technique DT, Floyd will start right away in Monte Kiffin's cover 2 D.

New York Giants (9-7) -- Alec Ogletree -- Ogletree may have some character issues but the Giants have a strong lockerroom that can guide a kid with his talent. Behind their front 4, Ogletree can have a Patrick Willis type effect.

Chicago (10-6) -- Lane Johnson -- OT -- Oklahoma -- Cutler had his best years when he had Ryan Clady at LT. Lane Johnson is s prototype LT that would start day one for the Bears with their problems protecting QBs.

Cincinnati* (10-6) -- Tavon Austin -- WR -- West Virginia -- With AJ on the outside Tavon Austin would be a nightmare in the slot. This kid can be a faster, more dangerous version of Wes Welker.

St. Louis - from Washington* (10-6) -- Jonathan Banks -- CB -- Mississippi State -- Maybe not a great combine workout but he is a gamer. Banks gives the Rams a true shutdown CB to pair up with Finnegan.

Minnesota* (10-6) -- Kawann Short -- DT -- Purdue -- Not a flash pick here but the top CBs and pass rushers are gone and that's what you need in this division against Rogers, Stafford and Cutler. However, you can also pressure up the middle which is Short's specialty. Another Sapp type DT, he will help the Vikings disrupt these QBs.

Indianapolis* (11-5) -- Jonathan Hankins -- DT -- Ohio State -- Hankins is a tough interior DT that Indi desperately need to complete their 3-4 defense. They were ok rushing the passer this year but struggled to defend the run. Every 3-4 needs a plugger.

Seattle* (11-5) -- DeAndre Hopkins -- WR -- Clemson -- The only thing missing in the Hawks offense is an explosive WR. If this pick happens Hopkins could easily be the Offensive Rookie of the year as the playaction game, combined with Russell's mobility will give Hopkins too much space and time.

Green Bay* (11-5) -- Manti Te'o -- ILB -- Notre Dame -- This is a perfect fit for Te'o as the Packers love ILBs who can cover in space. In this scheme, Te'o can flourish as he will have ILB help that can cover for his deficiencies.

Houston* (12-4) -- Terrance Williams -- WR -- Baylor -- Houston needs someone opposite Johnson than can break open their passing attack to a whole new level. With Williams in the fold their offense can look a lot like Atlanta's with the added bonus of a top 5 run game.

Denver* (13-3) -- Tyler Eifert -- TE -- Notre Dame -- You have a small window to win a SB with Peyton so you best build around him now. Eifert gives Manning that TE presence he had with Dallas Clark.

New England* (12-4) -- Desmond Trufant -- CB -- Washington -- The CB position in New England is unsure and Trufant presents great value here. I was tempted to add a WR but rookie WRs tend to struggle with Brady while veteran FA WRs have had some success.

Atlanta* (13-3) -- Margus Hunt -- DE -- SMU -- Atlanta plays a lot of 3-4 and everyone is looking for the next JJ Watt. In terms of size and skill set Hunt is the closest thing. A bit of a luxury/risk pick here but Atlanta can afford it.

San Francisco* (11-4-1) -- Kenny Vaccaro -- S -- Texas -- Easy pick for the Niners as they are going to lose Golston at S. Vaccaro is highly rated and is great value here.

Baltimore* (10-6) -- Kevin Minter -- ILB -- LSU -- Incredibly, the perfect replacement for Ray Lewis falls in the laps of the SB champs. Minter is almost a carbon copy of Lewis in terms of playmaking and his ability to cover a ton of ground. 130 tackles, 15 for loss, 4 sacks, 1 INT, 1 FF and 5 passes broken up. Not bad.

Given Jarvis Jones back issues I think its highly unlikely he goes #2 overall

Ya I'm thinking that by draft day he will have been tested enough that teams feel comfortable drafting him high.

The bust factor is strong in this one.

Barkevious Mingo is such a good football name. It's like Cornelius Bennett.

Sure, there are better reasons to draft a guy, but in my mind this one is good enough. Bring me the Mingo.

Mingo just a pawn in the game of life. I want Mingo instead of Jordan.

None of these mock drafts are worth looking at until after free agent signings have quieted down. And that starts tomorrow.

Put me into cold storage until April 25th.

Great idea. Get a speed burner who Fitzpatrick can't hit!
