Falcons part ways with... Robinson, Turner and Abraham.

Major moves in ATL: Falcons are releasing CB Dunta Robinson, RB Michael Turner and DE John Abraham today.
    From Schefter.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I remember when Turner was a free agent before signing with the Falcons, I wanted the Bills to sign him so bad.

Turner the Burner is now more like Turner and Slow Churner.

He could be a good third down back for another year or so... for another team that is.

I'm not even sure if that's the case. He hasn't been that great of a goal line power back either.

I'd take Abraham still without a doubt. He'd probably put more pressure on the QB than anyone on the team. I don't care that he's probably 40 years old.

I really can't question Dimitroff's track record. He's one of the best in the business, but the Abraham cut surprises me JUST a little bit. He is aging, but he provided 10.5 of the 29 sacks they mustered up. Of course, having not watched him a whole bunch last year, I do not know what the quality of those sacks were. Plus, he's 34 years old. I always liked Robinson, but at 30 years old, you're taking a chance at CB. He was a 4.34 guy at one time. Not sure if that speed is still there.

Id be shocked if Robinson doesnt end up in the same division.

I think I remember you saying that on the range. Unless my memory fails me, you and Chimp were his biggest proponents.

Dunta Robinson will end up somewhere and have a pretty good season. But more than one? That's up for debate.

Dwan Edwards resigned with Jacksonville too.
