wow, yet again the front office can not think of a way to get things done before the last minute. and their answer will result in byrd being gone next year.

"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

No surprise. I think the entire world knew this was coming since December. Standard practice around the league every single year. You try to work something out quickly, it usually doesn't quite get there and then you tag. It's from this point that we will see how the Bills feel about him. Sometimes teams use the tag to buy time to come up with a nice long-term deal. Other times, teams use it to ride out the season and let the guy walk because they feel they have better odds with next year's FA and draft classes.Comment
