I agree. The hit on Ennis was much more vicious than the hit Kaleta gave on Richards yet Kaleta was given a a 5 minute major and a game misconduct. If a player lying on the ice for a couple minutes after being boarded will result in a major penalty than more players will do it. I guess Ennis should of done what Richards did and just roll around a little after getting hit.

Anyone saying Kaleta was in the wrong here needs to watch that video again. Richards falls off his skates like a 4 year old and then writhes in agony, grabs his leg, his arm, his neck, and then comes back on the ice without missing a shift.

Just watch it again, and look at his skates as he's hit. It's a total dive.

i was screaming at the TV when it happened that Richards should have got a Diving penalty, but its Kaleta, so he'll get a 4 game suspension, so that he cant play in their next meeting

OK, I was on a plane back from Buffalo to Atlanta, this is the first I have seen this hit, and wow, just wow, that was a 2 minute cross check on Kaleta, barely, and a without a doubt dive by Richards.

It sure looked like it wasn't that hard of a hit to make Richards fall like that, but I'm skeptical that a guy is going to take one like that and literally put his physical well-being on the line to draw a penalty. I dunno, maybe he misjudged it.

To some respect, I've hit the wall at a similar angle before, and the sensation that goes down your neck into all your extremities from that type of compression/over rotation is everywhere, he look more like he was in agony than trying to grab a specific body part. and eventually the pinch relieved it self.

F-in great, we get tougher and they want to soften the game up again. Maybe we can add all the speed & then watch them stop calling the clutching / grabbing all over.
