All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

CornerBlitz Mock Draft: First three rounds posted.

8. Buffalo Bills
QBm Geno Smith, West Virginia
With no surefire ace wide receivers in the draft, Buffalo should be tripping over themselves to pick up Geno Smith if available.
41. Buffalo Bills
WRf Cordarrelle Patterson, Tennessee
Buffalo needs another impact wide receiver across from Stevie Johnson and Patterson could be a dangerous target for their new QB Geno Smith. This is a lot later than Patterson usually goes in mock drafts, but I see a bunch of red flags that could sink his draft slot a bit. He had a huge year at Tennessee, but I'm worried about how he'll conduct himself professionally. He really turned me off at the combine, dropping a bunch of passes and holding up a drill while he put his gloves on. Still he has game-breaking talent so he can't fall that far.
71. Buffalo Bills
WLB Arthur Brown, Kansas State
Buffalo adds a playmaking element to their linebacking corps that was lacking in taking the KSU leader.
Here's a link to the full draft if you're interested.

What a bum. No wonder he fell an entire round if he can't even get his gloves on.

Except that he did...
lol, I would love this draft but I can't see it happening.
Well, IMO Corderell Patterson is no Calvin Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald. He is not worthy of the #8 pick.
I agree. What scares me is that he's a one year wonder that Nix himself said he doesn't like. But to me in terms of "potential" dynamic playmaking ability, he's the Spiller amongst the wr's in these years draft.

He may well be, but I don't think he is worth the #8 pick. This draft is loaded with good WRs. I would rather overdraft a QB than a WR at #8. If they draft a position player rather than a QB at #8, I would rather it be either a defensive player or OL because I think that would be better value than a WR.
...typo..."The Bengals pick up high effort, high-production John Simon to add to their thin defensive end rotation, consisting only of Carlos Dunlap and the franchised Charles Johnson."
Current CIN DEs are: Michael Johnson, Carlos Dunlap, Robt. Geathers, Wallace Gilberry, the injured Jamaal Anderson, and...Aaron Maybin (!)

Charles Johnson
Ugh! Thanks.

Geathers and Gilberry are free agents. Jamaal Anderson I consider pretty much worthless. Yeah, the Maybin thing was a mistake on my part... he's listed as a LB on spotrac's list so I missed him. Thanks for the correction. Anderson and Maybin don't change the pick for me, though.
Re: CornerBlitz Mock Draft: First three rounds posted.
I'm seeing Patterson way too often. He has so far to go to be an NFL receiver. He lets passes come to his body, does not run good routes and is not the most disciplined guy on the field. He's fast and has some moves, but that is not what succeeds in Buffalo. Successful Buffalo receivers are hands guys who can fight for a ball.

I suspect Gilberry gets re-signed - he gave them a good season when he came on board. Anderson? who knows...another of the owner's so-called "value picks"...former 1st rounders on the cheap. Although cbs Pac-Man, Newman, and Clements contributed. But yes - DEs are always a consideration.
I'd be surprised if Vaccaro is their #1 - agreeing with CIN beat writer Geoff Hobson who says "especially if the likes of cb Desmond Trufant, defensive ends Sam Montgomery of LSU, Alex Okafor of Texas and Damontre Moore of Texas A&M are there."
Seems there's a decent crop of safties out there, and CIN sits on OAK's #2. I also like OLB Sio Moore somewhere, as well as OT Menelik Watson...Whitworth is aging. I'm not at all sure Burfict moves inside...he roamed to the ball so well. So Kevin Minter intrigues at #37. I dislike Ogletree and T'eo.
CLE would do well with Milliner - it was blatant when Haden didn't suit up. I still like Werner for CLE if Milliner is gone.
Well, roll dem bones, eh?
