Neither would be a surprise.

Landry is a guy several of us had the Bills targeting. Personally, I felt the Bills could and would go WR in the early rounds of the draft and they may still do that even with a signing of Gibson.

If Landry doesn't sign with us don't sleep on William Moore. I think Nix is targeting a guy that can play stronger against the run and Moore fits the Bill.

They used a 3rd on Graham last year otherwise I'd like Swope in the 3rd this year, but I don't see a difference maker at WR in FA besides Wallace who we aren't getting.

Landry is a dirty player IMO, but that safety combo of him and Byrd would be beastly.

Always liked Gibson. He's a deep threat and unlike our current deep threat, he can actually catch a pass or two.

Landry is an okay stop-gap. But he really needs to get his achillies fixed, it's been a problem for the past 3 seasons, and it shows on the field.

Hope they don't waste a dime on Landry, can't cover at all, flash player.

This will be his third team in three years.

Gibson had the fifth-worst drop rate in the league from 2009-11: https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2012/07/02/three-years-of-drop-rate-wide-receivers/ (can't find the data from last season). You can live with drops coming from highly productive receivers, but not mediocre Gibson types.

The Jets would like to keep Landry, but he is asking for $6 Mill & they don't have the money to pay him. I would take him in a NY JET minute.

How about Dawan Landry the Jags released him and they had a decent D last year.

According to the ESPN splits machine, he's caught two passes of 30+ yards in his career. He has a career Y/C of only 12, which by comparison is .2 yards higher than Scott Chandler. He ran a 4.59 at his combine.

He may be a valuable signing, and maybe Bradford was holding him back, but I don't think he's a deep threat.

I have a feeling Laron Landry will be the "big" FA signing.

Huh, I seem to remember him running a few deep plays with Bradford this year. Must have confused him with another of their receivers.

Chris Givens #13? He has a 16.6 y/c this year and a 4.41 40.

He had 3 drops last season (from what I came up with), which was an improvement from him. I'd still look elsewhere.

I seen the Bills are interested in Danny Amendola, he's not going to be the deep threat, big play receiver, but I think he'd make a good possession receiver for the Bills.

I have no idea how reliable that site is, but the list of guys we have contacted agents of, from them, pretty much runs like this:

Moore
Amendola
Cason
Landry
Gibson

I think that's the lot.
Somewhere also, I've seen Ellerbe mentioned, but wouldn't be at all optimistic there, as he wants to stick with the Ravens, and they are trying to keep him. Other strong interest is supposed to be coming from the Colts, and his former DC is now there. They also have Brinks truck ability in cap room. So I think that it's unlikely.

Brandon Gibson is exactly the type of players we will be signing this off season. Middle of the pack, not flashy guys. We have a lot of holes to fill.

At least 16 by my count, not including any possible future cuts (B.Smith...Fitz...Lindell). 6 draft picks, leaves at least 10 spots that need to be filled with FA's or rookie UDFA's. Or, of course, some of the bottom feeders currently signed to contracts.

... Who the hell is Brandon Gibson?

Aside, Landry would be an upgrayedd for our 3rd safety spot.

and to me Gibson is a perfect signing for this team. As he hs shown to be a better player than Donald Jones in his career and has the attributes/skill set to do well in a WCO style offense. I get why we targetted Landy but to me I'd be working harder to acquire a LB vs a SS.

Gibson torched the Bills when we lost to the Rams last season.

He also torched the Dolphins last year 7 for 91 yards and had a great redzone game against the Jets with 3 catches for 5 yards but 2 TDs and was slightly below average against the Patriots 3 for 36.
