    James Harrison released

    Worth a look?

James Harrison, unable to reach an agreement on a restructured contract, was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday.

Pretty much any LB brought in to Buffalo would be an upgrade to who's on the team right now.

Even if he's on the downside of his career he'd be an instant upgrade and an Opening Day starter.

He would be situational due to his age but would provide very good rotational depth and could start for a while until another player takes over.

So, yes. But only at an inexpensive price.

He could fill the role we hoped Merriman would. I'd imagine he's still looking for 4-5 million a year since he wasn't able to come to terms on a restructure.

          Not worth a look .

James Harrison is borderline ******ed and takes a million dumb penalties per game.

          He's a liability.

While you might be right, I think you could agree that it would be nice to see a Bills defensive player, actually hit a few people through the course of a season, and mean it.

Right, and what's more he's the poster child for the new league safety rules and a 'repeat offender' so if he gets one head shot he could be suspended.

He sucks now. That's why Pitt cut him. Waste of a roster spot.

He's 35 and will only get a 1-2 year deal. He'll hold out for an offer from a winning team.

                    That ain't us...so it's a moot point.
