Fitzpatrick to re-sign with the Bills for part ownership of the Bills and a promise of 30 million a year for the next 10 years to save cap room this year.

I told everyone this, Fitz had no reason to accept a restructured contract, one in which he could still get cut, and get a ton lower money. Had many people are argue this with me. There was no way his agent would have allowed it to happen. Fitz had the Bills by the balls, he had the big contract, Bills were either going to pay it or cut him. No reason to make a new deal.

He will be the backup in Minnesota is my guess.

He did what he had to do. They signed him long term based on an assumption that he would be all they need and he never became that. But he then cut him like he should.

It was my only real hit on Nix and he's fixed it. I'm not happy that he did this deal in the first place but he's repaired the issue now.

While it's fun to bask in the warm sense of well-being brought on by Ryan Fitzpatrick's release, the good vibes are not sustainable.

We still have zero talent at QB. And this year's prospects are completely bereft of talent.

This team is going to be even worse than the last despite how low the bar has been set. It's so infuriating watching the team I love run into the ground by morons.

Fitz to the Jets. Since he is so good at throwing to Antonio Cromartie, and Cromartie thinks he is one the best receivers on the Jets, they will turn into a lethal combination.

Right, all guys only want to play where they live. WHy would they want another crap QB, they already have a bunch of Fitzs

the joy of cutting fitz to be tempered by overdrafting useless QB this year and pretending that the new regime has it all figured out.

There's a lot of room in the middle there to get a deal done that still pays him more than he's about to get and lowers our cap pain. All water under the bridge now, though.

I hope he does go to AZ and they decide to bypass a QB in the 1st so we have one less team to worry about in front of us. I know many of us want to tank the year now but I'm not one of them, and Geno Smith is the only QB who can make us respectable in 2013... and possibly beyond... right now.

Like I said in another post, those prank callers ought to get a medal for FORCING the Bills to get rid of Blitzpatrick! Who knows otherwise how long the ridiculous "experiment" of anointing a career journeyman ham & egger back up QB as "starter" would have continued here?

He's gonna sign on as the 49er back-up and get a Super Bowl ring next season.

Travaris Jackson is, at worst, equally effective to what Fitzpatrick has been - and he's a whole lot cheaper.

What has surfaced as an embarassment is our current GM. I used to think he was half competent. He's a buffoon.

You nailed it.

This team has **** talent. Our OL got worse, we have one QB which means they have to go out and desperately fill the position, no WR besides Steve, our LBs suck ass, our CBs suck and we have no SS.

Very little talent and the buffoon NIX is still at the helm.

Maybe they'll get another kicker and keep 2 on the roster for a third of the season like last year.

Man, Blitzpatrick and Gailey have really been drinking the Kool-Aid these last 3 years, haven't they? I bet that if the Bills kept Gailey, he'd STILL be starting Fitzpatrick in September - because, hey, 3 1/2 full seasons starting in the NFL aren't enough yet to fully evaluate whether or not your starting QB is the 29th worst in the league, or the 28th worst - lmao!!!!!!

What's the very worst team in the league? (besides Buffalo, that is) That might be a good place to start looking.
