Bring him in for competition.

However he can't stay healthy so having him win your competition would be horrible.

FA QB Regular Contract, if it works, fine; if it doesn't, fine too.

Folks we need backups real bad, Kolb would be a potential option & much better than what we've had in the past.

no thanks. it's tough to bring in a backup when you don't have a starter

I dont necessarily want him but I read stat today that he faced pressure on 42% of dropbacks this year when he played, which is a crazy amount:

Last season, Kolb saw pressure on an impossibly high 42.4 percent of drop backs, and was sacked on 29.1 percent all drop backs. This is the reason why he survived only 217 of them, per Pro Football Focus. To compare, Fitzpatrick saw pressure at a lower rate than Kolb was sacked, not quite 27 percent of drop backs. The fact is nobody had a chance to succeed at QB for Arizona early in 2012 as they they tried to extinguish the tire fire up front. Kolb is a good option for the competition.

Given some time I think he'd do better than what he did in AZ

Kolb would be the best QB we had in a long time people (not saying much), and could likely be had for top tier BACK UP money. I would be down with bringing him in. Dude wasn't bad behind a terrible O line before his injury.

Bring him in and draft a guy. Let them battle it out in camp.

Kolb should be given his walking papers soon. And I honestly think he's a must. We're not going to get anyone to sign here with our current QB situation. Kolb isn't great but he can at least put a face on the position.

Definitely. In the right offense, which is a WC offense, he could have a lot of success. Let him battle TJ and the rookie for the #1 job.

I doesnt even matter if he starts, we just need to show we're not dicking around.

He's officially been cut.

I don't think he's good, but we need to have some QBs on the roster, so I wouldn't be upset if they brought him in for competition at the spot.

He's certainly not the future, but I'd be fine with bringing him in to keep the seat warm.

Its also worth noting he has yet to play more than 10 games in a season. Kolb is competition not a solution.

Get rid of Fitz but then bring this shlub in? Genius.

I'll take him. He never had a chance behind that disgrace of a line in Arizona.

I would wait and see if Flynn is cut from Seattle and would rather go after him.

We already failed with RJ the first time why would we want him again?

That's a fact...early on that line was just plain awful. He's not the future but a very capable back-up.

I don't know, Fitz was a pretty good back up...

I'd take him on the cheap as a backup and competition but that's it. Seeing that we already paid Jackson backup money I'm not sure if paying Kolb around 4 million would be worth it unless they plan on him being the starter for the half of season he would finish. That's what Cassel got as a backup and Kolb will probably get around the same.

I remember when many here wanted us to trade for him when he was on the trading block for the Eagles. He had Rob Johnson written all over him and I didn't want anything to do with him. Thank god we didn't make the move.

I'd take Fitz as a backup on another team but there isn't any chance you could've kept him on this roster as a backup. Even if he had slashed him pay in half it still wouldn't have worked out after he was the starter for a few seasons. It wouldn't have worked out well in the locker room and i'm sure he would've rather moved on after that anyways.
