He got paid. Brady is getting older. He had a lot of success in that scheme, and if Brady got hurt he could do better than average there. Cassell really has no chance to start anywhere else in the NFL IMO right now, unless he went to a team depending on a rookie to start the rookie was worse than horrible. Patriots can get something decent for Mallett. It really does make sense.

Unless Fisher falls to them. Then they might follow the division powers and draft a QB on day 2.

My biggest fear is the Bills drafting Barkley at #8. That to me is a worst case scenario at this point.

Cassel? I'm pretty sure that he's better than the Bills' current starting QB.
