What if the Bills host Baltimore season opener?

Ravens have to be on the road. I do not see them going to Denver or pit.

hahahahahahaha why would the NFL even consider that? They'll find a div rival or some higher profile team.

The only attraction would be giving the Ravens a guaranteed win.

Baseball night game . Orioles not budging. I just don't see them sending them to Denver. I would think they would have started at home with NE but, they will have to play them later now.

          LOL

Another delusional Bills fan who still believes we are still relevant to the NFL.

Re: What if the Bills host Baltimore season opener?

when you look at their away games:
Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Miami, Chicago, Detroit, Denver

the way that it could work out to buffalo at home...

cincy and cleveland would be drags on the road for a prime time game, and its unlikely that goodell would "punish" the ravens by sending them into pitt, chicago, or denver.

detroit, miami and buffalo would seem like the most likely opponents for a road game--essentially "comp" them an easy win, for the trouble of going on the road to start the season.

buffalo under the lights is better than any of those other draws, especially considering detroit hosts thanksgiving every year and most of the country hates that.

i would say its a 1 in 3 shot its baltimore at buffalo... the other options being at miami, or at pittsburgh (even though thats a "hard" game, its a good rivalry, and it would do numbers on national tv.)

however, gilmores tweet makes it seem like he knows something that will please bills fans, and i find it odd that he would tweet that the same day that the league announces baltimore is going to be on the road week 1.

im guessing goodell said "who do you want to open up with" to harbaugh, and like the poster above me so eloquently stated "lol at you guys thinking buffalo is still relevant," harbaugh took one look at their away opponents, and chose the lowly bills to be baltimores punching bag week 1.

If it's between us, Detroit and Miami, Miami gets it.

Detroit has Megatron and Suh, plus Stafford and a halfway decent RB. They can garner attention on their own. Buffalo sells tickets no matter what. Miami fans are much more fickle.

So then WHY would Miami get it? Miami has assembled a good team this offseason, not that they will be able to maintain it. Buffalo looks to be the EASY WIN as Johnny said. If the Ravens have their choice, why would they not choose the easy win for the opener?

It will be us, in fact, our "home" opener will be in Toronto and there will be more Ravens fans than Bills fans there and we will get smoked.

It has to be Denver. The NFL wants the game to be high profile & Denver with Peyton Manning is the best team.
There's no chance the NFL wants the game in Buffalo against a team that hasn't made the playoffs in this century.

I'm thinking the Orioles eventually budge...they just haven't found the magic number yet.

I missed the Denver listing. It has to be them or Pitt IMO

I'd be happy after any renovations if the Ralph's toilets actually flushed, we won't win this game.
