Said it's not an Aprils fools joke.

Jay Glazer ‏<S>@</S>JayGlazer <SMALL class=time>18m (http://www.billszone.com/JayGlazer/status/318738337773006848) </SMALL>OAK has traded 2 picks to Seattle for Matt Flynn, will sign papers on it this AM & now trying to finalize Carson Palmer to AZ for late pick.

I have a 2003 HP Laptop rotting in my basement. I wonder if Oakland would give me $1500 for it ?

if this is right, does that leave oakland with any picks?

By their actions, seems most QB needy teams at the top are quickly selecting Vets over possible rookie alternatives.

Speaks volumes about this QB draft class.

Jacksonville to get Geno Smith then? If not then the Bills are in prime spot now.

Teams are realizing you need a QB and must do something

i think its more a sign that no one is impressed with this years "top" QB's and feel that the "retreads" are better options than these rookies

Picks are 2014 and 2015. Not much to give up for Flynn.

I think that it's interesting to note that most of the teams involved in these types of negotiations are the traditional bottom-feeders, like Buffalo, Oakland, and Arizona.

Better thing is we gave up nothing and have Kolb......

i'm not big on the qb's coming out, but i don't think they'll all be busts. they are going to need to be handled with some caution and care. having vet take a beating behind new coaches and poor line play will greatly add to the development of a qb....and if a kolb, tjax, flynn get hurt, they can give guidance from the bench without fear since they are already out.

granted, none of these guys really are the super smart qb that's going to make it help much, but the competitive nature of a qb being removed is a lot better than last year when the coaches could have literally said to bills fans, "yeah, fitz stinks, but do you want us to put out thigpen?" and we'd have all quieted down.

Oakland is the only team in the NFL in "cap hell" and that's largely in part due to the late Al Davis and his free spending. They were going to get rid of Palmer unless he restructured his deal, he didn't, and it's obvious by this that the new FO has no faith in Pryor.

This was a move they needed to make, and if the rumored picks involved are correct it's really giving up nothing. The raiders are finally doing a rebuild, and they're taking their time to do it.

Would rather have had Flynn, I think. I guess Kolb will be the starter. There is just not a lot of history about about QBs on their 3rd team making an impact, in recent times, anyway.

I thought I read Glazer say 14 -15

You thought right.

The 2 picks the Raiders sent for Flynn are in 2014 and 2015 draft. Both are later rounds

The 15' is reportedly conditional.

Flynn? Meh. His GB OC didn't think that highly of him and opted for a rookie in Tannybottoms when he was available last year.

I thought this was a Bills related board... this has nothing to do with them.

Thanks anyways.

Flynn is now off the table for Buffalo.

And the news does affect us, it changes the draft most likely, and the domino effect could also have an impact on us.
