Our biggest problem is defense and our inability to break the puck out of the defensive zone.

this is a blessing. This team when fully stacked at the beginning of theseason was no better than a 1st round exit playoff team. Now that we are re-tooling with a lot of 1st and second round picks, we need them to be high so we can score a legit day 1 player, and then trade some picks for immediate impact player. stay at home defensemen that are 24-27yo would be ideal to help solidify the defense and give us a chance to re-establish meyers game.

agree with you about getting a strong stay at home defenseman in order to "re-establish" Myers. Even with that... He needs to be the second line defensive rotation. Drafting or signing a superstar defenseman to play with Erhoff should be the goal.

Darnell... Although probably needing a year after being drafted in the minors represents that idea! He had every ability as he fills out to be a Pronger type player.
