If The Bills Have To Look This Hard At The Current QB Draft Class..

Then it's imagined talent over real.

Selection in the middle rounds needing developmental time, at best. The next QB class is far stronger.

They have been looking at these guys for months up close...then they ink Kevin Kolb for 2 years to go with T. Jackson. Hmmm...

Marrone/Hackett will probably run a shotgun heavy, 2 read max offense with the ball coming out quickly. QB friendly for 2 guys with NFL starts and experience in the shotgun.

So go get your Guard, TE, WR, LB and more with your 6 picks. Quit obsessing over a QB class full of backup types.

If it's April and you're STILL looking at them...

    Agree or disagree ?

They did the same due diligence last year.

The "next QB class" has been far stronger for years now.

Remember when Ponder, Mallet, Locker, and Luck were going to duke it out for the top spot in the 2011 draft?

Remember when Barkley was going to go first overall in the 2012 draft?

Manziel and Bridgewater might not even declare next year.

Then, what are we left with?

Buddy painted the organization into a corner, he doesn't have a choice as to whether he needs to draft a QB, because he does. Just a question of which round. If he fails, then he is gone anyway and the new GM will be free to select a new QB in next years draft.

Buddy screwed it up by listening to Chan say Fitz was good enough to run his system. I'm pretty sure he's going to go with the Dalton/Aj Green comments he's made in the past.

As far as Marrone and HAckett are concerned, Nassib would be the safe bet as far as being decent in their system down the road. Whether Marrone goes with a safe bet in Nassib or a gamble on a qb player with a potentially higher ceiling, I don't know.

There is no standout in this QB class like last year but I believe they need to take one anyways and develop him. You can not keep waiting for next year because we have been doing this for way to many years and need to finally stop this insane process.

There is no can't miss, bullseye prospect in this draft. But that's completely irrelevant, because if there was a bullseye in this draft - we wouldn't be able to get him at 8.

If you are drafting a QB at the #8 slot, you are going to get a guy with some warts. Seriously. It doesn't matter what year or what draft class.

I don't see why looking hard at the candidates is a perceived problem. Even Indy did that into April with Luck and RG3. So what? Informed decisions are usually the best ones.

It's real simple. There is at least ONE QB in this draft that will turn out a lot better than a lot of us think right now, can we agree on that? And we need that guy. So I'm absolutely 1000% behind doing whatever it takes to figure out who that is and select him at an appropriate place. 1000% And guess what? For better or for worse WE ARE DRAFTING A QB EARLY IN THIS DRAFT. Might as well get your arms around this now. Mt. Rushmore isn't etched as deeply in stone as this.

I think it is OBVIOUS by the fact Chan kept playing Fitz when the Bills had lost all hope of making the playoffs last year. He sould have given TJax a shot to see what he had at that time.

Really? It is not like TJax is some young up-and-comer. He is a journeyman QB best situated as a back-up. He is not going to become anything more than that so why bother to take a look - you know what you are getting. If the Bills smartly had a young QB on the bench they were grooming then obviously it would have made sense to see that guy on the field.

Both Buddy and Chan are obviously flawed, unfortunately only Chan took the fall.

If the Bills finish in the top 3 in next years draft then you KNOW Bridgewater and Manziel
will be going back to school.

To 2011 and 2012 responses....no. It was only ever Luck and that's all it ever should of been. Everybody else was media hype that fans bought into but that most talent evaluators never concurred with. Hell Locker got a 3rd Round grade for the 2010 draft, people calling him a possible #1 overall pick were out of the minds.

                              Sure, it was media hype.

Where do you think the majority of people get their information from?

How many people on this board are breaking down game film of Ryan Nassib and comparing him to other prospects?

Hell, how many people even watched a single Syracuse game?

That's not going to stop them from coming to the conclusion that he will never amount to anything.
