MMD's simple draft plan for a Bills rebuild, now

We're not going anywhere next year the way we sit, we need a huge draft from a deep draft. Knowing that the talent doesn't fall off much from the 15th pick to the 115th pick, we need to go deep. So here's the plan:

1.) Trade our #8 pick to Falcons - Our compensation is #30, #60, and #92 plus their next years 1st round pick (Value on the chart is a Bills ahead a bit)

2.) Trade Byrd to San Fran - Our compensation is their #31 / #34 pick & some type of extra 6th. Byrd is leaving after this season so keeping him gets us nowhere quicker. Byrd's already unhappy as well.

When you combine all our picks you get us picking at #30, #31, #34, #41, #60, #71, #92, #105 or 8 picks in the first 3 1/3 rounds of a deep draft. These are all doable deals & have huge merit. Let's come up with drafting scenario's as well, I'll set the table for copy / paste:

    #30 Pick -

    #31 Pick -

    #34 Pick -

    #41 Pick -

    #60 Pick -

    #71 Pick -

    #92 Pick -

    #105 Pick -

San Fran could take him for 2 firsts right now, one this year (#31) one next year (#32) after signing him to a offer sheet, they haven't done that yet so this might do it. Byrd is also not happy right now, so let's get something before he is hurt or gone.

They haven't done that because it doesn't make any sense. They let Goldson walk because they couldn't afford him. Unless Byrd was willing to play for much less than Goldson, they can't afford Byrd either. And if Byrd WAS willing to play for much less, then we should quit farting around and sign him ourselves.

nope..you might get 31 this year and a mid round pick next year...at most.

And I also question whether Atlanta gives up their 1st next year on top of 3 picks this year.

Nonetheless, I appreciate the effort. Even without no. 34 for Byrd...its possible. It isn't like we've been hitting on a bunch of picks from nos. 8-12.

30 - Tyler Wilson..(this could be any of the 2nd rounders...I like things about him better than others). If he don't work out, we get another next year.

31- Quinton Patton-The general goes along really nice with SJ.

41- Robert Woods- SJ, Patton, Woods makes a nice 3 WR set. Wilson should find somene open.

                  60- Three possibilities-

                  A) Brian Schweinke, C - Cal. Did well at the Senior Bowl 1 on 1's.
                  B) Barrett Jones- C/G Alabama. One of the Bama Olinemen should be a necessity. Like Levitre, versatile, smart and great technique. Like Levitre, not the strongest. But also like Levitre, smart enough to at least get in the way of a pass rusher.
                  C) Brian Winters- G Kent St. The little I've seen of him I like. Loves to put people on the ground. One big caveat. In Senior Bowl 1 on 1's, he was beat quickly and cleanly on at least 2 occasions by a swim move or a side step.
A guard CANNOT be beaten that cleanly...not with a 3 step drop and a direct line to a QB. If that can't be corrected, he's in trouble. It usually can unless the guy is supremely slow.

Gotta get my wife, that's all I have time for.

Pathetic. You made the same thread on BBMB. You waiting for other people to pat you on the back for stealing other people's ideas? Come up with your own ideas and I wouldn't feel the need to call you out.

Why trade one of the best young safties in the game? makes no sense he will sign where did he say he was disgruntled
