3. Buffalo Sabres – Jonathan Drouin (QMJHL) -- LW

There might be a more pressing organizational need on the blue line for Buffalo, but Drouin is too obvious a choice in this position. Some teams have him ahead of MacKinnon, and I believe Drouin probably has a higher potential. That upside isn't without risk because his size is moderately concerning. But there isn't a player in this draft, or maybe the last who knows how many, who can do what he can with the puck on his stick.

This was done in March and I think we will be drafting lower than 3rd. overall.

Popeye Jones reference last night on Inside the NBA after the Thunder/Rockets game!!!

I remember liking him as a player, even though Murray State upset Syracuse in an NCAA tournament game I attended way back in time.

He is Seth Jones' dad!

Seth may very well become the latest client of Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports(a relatively new sports agency); Yahoo Sports' Puck Daddy blog(among others)notes, however, that it would be more on the marketing and branding side(as Jones is already repped by CAA).

the only reason to bring up the difference between 8th and 7th draft lottery wise, thedifference in odds of winning the lotto at 7 instead of 8 are huge
