I loved when we replace Pat Williams and Sam Adams, two awesome players, for John McCargo and Larry Tripplett b/c the latter two "fit the system better."

That was a quintessential Bills move if there ever was one.

Fat Pat was just a couple of pork chops shy of some Bills sack records for DTs.

And the same people who defend moves like that when they happen are the ones still doing it.

Oh, let's trade Byrd and replace him with Aaron Williams!

i though we replaced Fat Pat with Ron Edwards?

We did and we ran Edwards out of town and replaced him with Tripplett and sad part is Ron had a longer career than Larry.

Enjoy retirement Pat, you've earned it. Loved ya as a Bill, still feel that your exit was one of the worst moves of last 15 years.
Pat was awesome and wanted to stay, eat **** Donohoe.

Definitely one of the best undrafted FAs of all time.

I remember his "coming of age" party in 1998 against the Bengals like it was yesterday. Dude ran wild, had 3 sacks, was in everybody's face.

Man I miss the days of him and Ted Washington ass to ass. Those late 90s Bills D's were epic.
