Channel 2's Adam Benigni reports that two sources tell Channel 2 that longtime great Canadiens and Avalanche goaltender Patrick Roy and Quebec Remparts coach is somewhere in Buffalo today talking with Darcy Regier about the Sabres head coaching job. Roy is considered the front runner because of Girgorenko who played for the Remparts before getting drafted by the Sabres in last years draft and the Sabres also drafted his son Frederick who plays for the Rochester Americans. Sources also tell Channel 2 that former Sabres player and coach of the Flyers, Lightning, Thrashers and Bruins assistant coach Craig Ramsay will also interview for the head coaching position. The Sabres would like to have the coaching search wrapped up and a coach to be named by June 30th that is when the NHL Draft is.

Re: Roy in town
Choose him and I guaran-DAMN-tee that charges of favoritism will be swirling over Patrick's head when it comes to Grigs and(if he's ever called up)Frederick Roy.
Dallas Eakins might not be the hot candidate, but IMO he'd be the best choice Buffalo could make.John Hemingway(facing certain death): I want to see Buffalo win the Super Bowl.
David Coltrane(threatening John): Nobody's going to live that long, pal.
