The difference is that EJ isn't an idiot. He's a genuinely great guy, hard worker, and has all the tools. Jamarcus just had a stronger arm - that's the extent of what he has over EJ.

everyone graded him in rd 2 or 3, with top 5 qb talent... hes a kaepernick type pick and worth the risk. at some point, you need to draft a qb early... christ

EJ is driven, he has the will to win but 2 years at FSU not being able to read a defense. The guy is known for 1-2 quick reads then pull down and run. He would be a huge project and miracle imo to make it in the NFL as a starter.

I thought EJ would be a great back-up with borderline starter years down the road. I am shocked he went 16 overall, with Geno and Barkley on the board.

no qb they picked could have made anyone happy.. with 4 guys (geno, ej, barkley, and nassib) in the mix, the fans are clearly divided and would have been no matter what.. but they got the guy they wanted.. i dont know if it was a good pick because i dont have a crystal ball or a best friend that is black, but i can see why they made the pick. i think its probably going to be a while before we know if it was a good pick or not.

Give the kid a chance, for Christ's Sake. There were no step in and start QBs in the draft anyway and I am never in favor of throwing a rookie QB out there his first year. Some can do it, most can't. Then, the QB gets ruined because he gets his ass kicked and loses confidence.

He's also got a guy who can help him transition to the pro game and WNY, his godfather Bruce Smith. That, combined with two veteran QB's and Manuel should be OK down the road.

I'm just happy we baited St. Louis and got more picks.

the more i think about it and the more i think the bills stick with kolb and tjax for next year, the more i like this pick. because he needs some fixing in his accuracy. and if he can do that and learn offense without hte pressure of fans screaming for him to play, he could be developed nicely.
