where does he live for a $600k home? i would have thought he'd have a nicer place than that.

???

You've been in NYC too long. Where you live, $600k is a studio apt. Where I live, $600k is a moderate single family home. In Buffalo, $600k is a ****ing mansion.

i wouldn't say mansion in buffalo. it's a nice house for sure. it's really pricey for a town house though. There are $1MM in homes in buffalo. they are nicer than the $600k variety.

it's a good life when your home costs 10% of your gross annual income.

on the road or in LA with his wife... makes sense.

it's a townehouse

why are they listing it over 200K above the value?

Well I had to buy something to cover up the damaged wall where I ripped down the Vanek fathead.

Zillow overuses comps in the neighborhood. A foreclosure or two in the same condo community could drastically drive the price down. Plus, Zillow doesn't account for any upgrades Miller may have made to the interior, and he certainly has the cash for some serious upgrades.

Our neighbor at our townhouse in VA just sold his house for about $60k more than the Zillow estimate. One foreclosure out of the 62 units caused them to grossly undervalue the houses in the neighborhood.

Yeah, if it weren't for him we would have had a much better shot at the number 1 overall pick.

i think miller ends up being a crappy leader because he's kind of a negative guy in the press clippings. without a more vocal leader, he was the defacto voice of the sabres. and he was always angry.

when he's on teams where he doesn't have to do anything but focus on goal, he's great. when he feels like he has to be the spokesman, he takes everyone's mistakes as his own and plays worse and doesn't necessarily bring out better performances in others.

that's my assessment. i still like him as a goalie, but i think he is short on time for where the sabres are. if darcy said we are going to suffer, he's not going to ask miller to suffer with us.

I have no animosity toward Miller. We've had consistent goaltending from him since he took over. In the meantime, a lot of really good teams have struggled because of a goalie merry-go-round (Wash comes immediately to mind, and look how much better Ott and Tor look now that they have consistent goaltending). With all the problems this team has had, the #1 goalie position hasn't been a concern since before the last lockout.

That being said, it's time for him to go. He seems frustrated with the organization (and I'm sure we can all relate to that) and he isn't up to the task of carrying these losers. The team needs to break it down and get younger and hungrier, and Miller needs to go somewhere that actually has a chance of getting him a Cup before he retires.

This just seems like one of those cases where a mutual split benefits both parties. Just keep him out of the division, Darcy.

And if we could've gotten Conacher for him and passed?
