You've been in NYC too long. Where you live, $600k is a studio apt. Where I live, $600k is a moderate single family home. In Buffalo, $600k is a ****ing mansion.

i wouldn't say mansion in buffalo. it's a nice house for sure. it's really pricey for a town house though. There are $1MM in homes in buffalo. they are nicer than the $600k variety.
it's a good life when your home costs 10% of your gross annual income.

Our neighbor at our townhouse in VA just sold his house for about $60k more than the Zillow estimate. One foreclosure out of the 62 units caused them to grossly undervalue the houses in the neighborhood.

Re: Miller is as good as gone, selling his Buffalo home
i think miller ends up being a crappy leader because he's kind of a negative guy in the press clippings. without a more vocal leader, he was the defacto voice of the sabres. and he was always angry.
when he's on teams where he doesn't have to do anything but focus on goal, he's great. when he feels like he has to be the spokesman, he takes everyone's mistakes as his own and plays worse and doesn't necessarily bring out better performances in others.
that's my assessment. i still like him as a goalie, but i think he is short on time for where the sabres are. if darcy said we are going to suffer, he's not going to ask miller to suffer with us.
