Tyler Bray wasn't drafted.

Everyone told him to stay at Tenny. He bombed the interview at the Combine and isn't ready.

Brandon Kaufmann, WR Eastern Washington
Ryan Turnley, C Pittsburgh
Drew Smith, RB Albany

All to the Bills

Kaufmann is very interesting. Small college but big stats, breaking the FCS single-season record with 1,850 receiving yards on 93 catches (19.9 yard average) and scoring 16 touchdowns. Huge at 6-5 216 and runs in the mid 4.5's. Leaper who comes down with the ball in a crowd. Great hands. Tested well at combine.

Either Marrone is taking over the draft or at least Gailey isn't here anymore to get in the way.

Jeff Tuel, QB, Washington State – Physically-gifted quarterback, but failed to hold the starting quarterback job through his senior season at Washington State.
Drew Smith, RB, Albany – 6’1″, 225-pound power back who ran for 18 touchdowns in his senior season.
Da’Rick Rogers, WR, Tennessee Tech – Projected to be a mid-round draft pick, likely fell due to character concerns but has huge upside as a big, physical and athletic wideout who can go up and make plays on the football. Has a good shot at making the Bills’ final roster as an outside playmaker given his size, strength and quickness in space.
Brandon Kaufman, WR, Eastern Washington - Very tall wideout who led the FCS in receiving yards as a junior before declaring as an early entrant for the 2013 NFL Draft. Talented downfield receiver whose best value may come as a red-zone target if he is able to make the roster.
Ryan Turnley, C, Pittsburgh – Tall but slow center who could also provide depth at guard.
Keith Pough, OLB, Howard - Instinctive, athletic small-school linebacker with a chance to make the roster as inside/outside linebacker depth. Small but showed at Howard he can really play.
Jumal Rolle, CB, Catawba
Jordan Dangerfield, FS, Towson – Short but hard-hitting small-school safety.

I know this is a severe long shot but I thought i'd throw this out for questioning anyways because of his thin frame. Is there anyway that we could be converting Kaufman to Tight End. I highly doubt he would have signed with us if we told him thats what we were doing. Like I said long shot but if we could bulk him up another 15 pounds he might make sense as a receiving tight end.

We just signed WR Terrell Sinkfield from Northern Iowa. Why is this significant you might ask? Sinkfield is known as the guy during pro day workouts that supposedly ran a 4.19 40 yard dash. Obviously, I think thats an overexaggeration but he still is fast as hell.

Nevermind, he apparently signed with the Dolphins instead!

We sure have upgraded our WR's. I hated our WR's last year, and actually for probably the past 10+ years. This group is young, fast as heck, and will be very exciting to watch! IMO, I think Rodgers will be, at the very least our 3rd or 4th wr this season. What a terrific addition.

I started compiling a list of 'wants' as soon as the Bills made their last pick. Some (WR Marquess Wilson, DE David Bass, TE Justice Cunningham) ended up getting drafted anyway. Others (QB Matt Scott, LB Thomas Chase, RB Stefphon Jefferson (jeez, I'm really starting to hate Tennessee again...bastards)) signed elsewhere. Da'Rick Rogers was on my short list, that was a nice pick up. The only guy I have on my list (17 names) that I believe is still available is G Theo Goins, Central Florida.

Tuel is more of a practice squad player his 1st year. The best case scenario is that in his rookie year, Manuel has 2 veterans on the roster and in year 2, if Tuel has shown enough after a season on the practice squad, then he replaces one of the vets.

That's actually false. The story was written by an alumnus who did not have it right. Yes, they have been the Bison since the 20's and yes they had a logo, but not the "Flying Bison." It was created by an artist who worked for the NFL in the 70's named Stevens Wright. (He just passed away this past March)

This story appears to be a lot of he said she said with no real clear history of how it happened. I had been told the image Wright created was based very closely off of what Howard was using due to its non-copyrighted image rights.

The kid set all kinds of school records and lit up the DIII Scene. That's what you have to do to get noticed by the NFL, be totally dominant at the lower levels. Even then he was a PS project for some team, WAY too raw on the fundamentals and skills needed to be successful in the NFL.

Players like him and our own Brandon Kaufman tear it up at their level but need time to come around. I really wish the NFL would partner up with the UFL as a sort of minor league like the NFL Europe was. I think it would benefit both significantly, the UFL would gain credibility because NFL caliber players would be there, and the NFL would have a farm system to send kids down to help them develop skills while still owning their rights.

The UFL season doesn't co-inside with the NFL season I don't believe, maybe the Playoffs do, but either way, you can call the guys back whenever you want like Baseball or Hockey. I think it would also allow the UFL to expand into more markets which would love an NFL team but could never support it. It would also help be an extension of the NFL brand, in the deal the NFL could get part of the gate, part of the TV Revenue, and merchandise.

Seems like a perfect partnership, but the NFL loves monopolies, so I don't think they would ever do it.
