All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I felt like they were only offering cheap money anyway.
Hard to say. They may have offered him good money but for only a SHORT term like one year. It looks like Dansby has seen his last big contract when he signed with Miami. I hope they can sign him to a two year contract a backup/part time player deserves.
Buddy said that the Bills were keeping in contact with Dansby at his latest press conference yesterday. I'm paraphrasing, but it was something like that.
It was clear that there is still a chance we may get him.
i dont think anything changes regarding dansby. saying theyd keep in contact with him is pretty clear buddyspeak for if we can get him at our price wed like to do that. im sure theyd much rather have someone of his stature in the rotation to minimize the need to thrust their younger players right into the starting lineup. seems obvious is depends on dansby overestimating his salary drawing power so when he ready to take a job somewhere i hope its here
I hope they do get him, and I'm not too bothered about paying him decently, on a 2 year deal.
Firstly, I think he's got two more good years in him, at least.
Secondly, I believe he's the sort of leader a young LB group could profit from.
I also think he would do a very good job of helping our run D improve.
Vet depth if nothing else. We needed LB upgrades and he is one regardless of whether we have Alonso.
Please get it done Buddy.
I think he would be a good fit. Solid LB that I cant imagine would cost much at this point. Isnt great in coverage or as a pass rusher any more, but can still thump in the run game and can run a defense and get everyone lined up. He also has experience in playing in a 34, 43, and hybrid defenses.
