ESPN power rankings have never been even close be accurate. They base it on last year's finish, without any projection based on offseason moves whatsoever. I haven't read it yet but I can pretty much guarantee the top 8 are all playoffteams from last year, other than maybe a random large market dart on the wal (Dallas, Miami, Giants, Philly, etc).

As always, ask me in October, November, or December where we are in the power rankings. I expect us to win about 4 games this year as we are in a reboot of a rebuild but we get a few breaks our way for once, force a few turnovers, the refs make a favorable call, and our opponents have off days we could double that or we could even sneak into the playoffs. Will it happen? I don't know, but it could.

1 Seattle Seahawks
2 San Francisco 49ers
3 Denver Broncos 3
4 Atlanta Falcons 4
5 Green Bay Packers
6 New England Patriots
7 Houston Texans
8 Baltimore Ravens

If they based it solely on last years finish, I don't think Baltimore would be number 8. Didn't thy do quite well last year? :D

Well if they base it on off-season gains/losses, Balt should be much lower than 8. They got raided.

power rankings are so terrible...the only accuracy is if you look who gets put in the top 3rd, middle 3rd and bottom third.

We might not be 28, but we are a bottom 3rd team. there is no end in sight. even with progress next year, i don't see us cracking 4 wins. and frankly that is what the team needs. a decent draft, players who buy into the system and provide some results, but don't hvae the talent to complete. then nail a second draft with high picks, and then see the major change.

30th is where I put us as well.

I expect the Jags to have a slightly better record than our 2-14.

Those 2 games against the Jets should be a split.

21 Bills 3-4

Last Week: 25 Mario Williams has now reached double-digit sack totals in each of his two seasons in Buffalo, something he did only twice in six seasons with the Texans.

Up 1

Last Week: 21 There's no time to lick the wounds from a 35-17 loss in New Orleans. Buffalo returns home to face the Chiefs, the last of the league's undefeated teams.

All season: Don't worry about Mario. He will never stop going for the qb and the sack numbers, and do something as mundane as kick out and seal off the sidelines. He's a piece of cake to plan against.

ROFL at the people who disparage the power rankings when they say something they don't agree with, but credit them when they are in line with what they like.

Three of those eight are going to have a hard time making the playoffs...
