We sure did. I think he can run anchor in our 400 relay team. But, can he be productive on the football field? Because there was no comparison between the two in collage on the field.

Hope he can catch the ball.

His speed is the only attribute we can be sure of for now. Next weekend's rookie minicamp should give us a decent barometer of where he's starting from.

I'm encouraged by this.

At worst case he can be our full time punt returner and occasionally run some reverse hand-offs. A little Devon Hester couldn't hurt.

Goodwin is no Tavon Austin, but he could become a dangerous player with the players we have right now.
I like the fact that he started for the South team in the Senior Bowl, it means he's coachable and that was among the best in that event. I don't expect him lining up as a 1 or 2 WR but I see him contributing early on ST and some packages on offense.

Marquise's return stats don't seem very impressive...

Goodwin could be better than Austin. Coming out of college Laverneous Coles was no Peter Warrick, but Coles was the better pro by far.

This argument is bogus. I could also be better than Austin, it just isnt likely. I have high hopes for Goodwin however.

In fairness, I think it's pretty safe to say Austin had a much better QB throwing to him than Goodwin had. lol JMO

Why is it bogus? Please do explain. I'm sure there's a brilliant logical argument underlying your assertion that just isn't readily apparent.
