All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I'd say the most glaring weakness in defense is ILB spot. Dansby would be perfect, But as Nix alluded to pre-draft that the money and contract length made it not "work-out."
I'd say an incentive laden contract would do the best for both parties. I just don't know if Dansby'd insist on multi-year contract or not.
It certainly seems to be going that way. He could wait it out a bit and see if injuries during camp get him some calls, but the longer he waits the bigger the risk for him. Sign a one year deal and get it over with.

The Arizona Cardinals are already set to be without linebacker Daryl Washington for the first four games of the season due to a substance-abuse violation. It could be even longer after Washington was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault for an attack against his former girlfriend last week.
The possible extended void in the middle of the Cardinals defense has prompted the Cardinals look into contingency plans. At the top of the list is a player the franchise is very familiar with. According to Mike Jurecki of XTRA 910 in Phoenix, Karlos Dansby is expected to meet with the Cardinals on Wednesday. Dansby played his first six seasons with the Cardinals.
Dansby was released by the Miami Dolphins in March. Since then he has taken visits to the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills but has remained without a job for next season. With Washington’s suspension, the Cardinals could hedge their best with Dansby as a fallback option. The Cardinals drafted inside linebacker Kevin Minter out of LSU in the second round as well and he could factor into the depth at the position.
Dansby has recorded 332 tackles and six sacks over the last three seasons for the Dolphins.
