The Buffalo Sabres have reportedly dismissed assistant coaches James Patrick and Kevyn Adams Patrick, 49, had been with the Sabres organization since 2005, first as a skill development coach, then promoted to assistant in 2006. look for Rolston to bring in Chadd Cassidy who was sssistant coach to Rolston in Rochester the When Rolston was named interim coach with the Sabres Cassidy was then tapped to be interim head coach for the Amerks. http://www.amerks.com/fbio.asp?staffID=ChaddCassidy

I thought the Amerks were the farm team, not the Sabres.

Seems like scapegoating to me. Blame the Ruff holdovers for the way the season ended even after Rolston took over.

It's probably a change that needs to be made, but nothing will truly be different until Darcy goes.

the more the change occurs, the less likely the new guys see status quo. So with patrick and adams out, maybe they get to see a new method that works for them.

i would like ot see the sabres be able to give and receive a pass properly. they have sucked at it for the last 3 years. during the 06-07 runs, they were money on passing.

Passing is breakouts and control of the neutral zone.

Why could a Ruff coached team of 06-07 do this and the recent years couldn't. Hmmm. All that money for Briere and Drury may have been worth it after all.

well the PP has been crap for years. Even when the team was winning after the last lockout, the PP was never better than average.

The PK, however, has been on a downward spiral for about 3 seasons now.
