If we have any cash available I wouldn't mind signing him to thump Tom Brady's skull on opening day.

Saw this... pretty brutal. Hope he finds work again but most of all I hope he gets healthy.

NOT THE DUDE...

as long as he watches his diet, takes his medicine and stays in the weight room, he can stay at 295-300lbs and be fine... I don't get it. bills should sign him to push troup

Push Troup? Why bother? Troup's worthless.

In an ideal world, we'd sign him and just flat out cut Troup.

But, realistically, we probably don't have the cap space. Thanks, Buddy.

Only in football does this statement make any sense. I wouldn't be surprised if a ton of these linemen get Type 2 after they play.

He altered his diet to gain weight back? Why? Why not try and get healthy and get out of football. Patriots did him a favor. People are not supposed to be 6'1'' and 315 pounds.

You people seem to want to encourage a big fat guy who is now diagnosed sick to keep being a big fat guy. Wow.

So Robert Kraft just said that he would accept an openly gay player on his team but then goes ahead and gets rid of a guy because he has diabetes?

Does not compute.

Reading the article, Vince Wilfork's dad had dealt with diabetes for years and recently passed away. Wilfork started a foundation to raise awareness about diabetes. I'm sure he's thrilled that the Patriots just canned his teammate for having the disease he's trying to fight. I wonder how close Wilfork is to the end of his contract. Would he demand a trade? Not to be insenistive to Love's predicament, but I can't say I'm disappointed anytime the Patriots look like a douche bag of an organization. I hope it gets worse for them.

Haven't seen it mentioned, but he was claimed off waivers by Jacksonville. Glad to see he landed on his feet right away.

Wilfork is a free agent in 2015. His salary is pretty high the next couple years, though ($6.5M in 2013, $7.5M in 2014).

Still, stuff like this happens all the time in the NFL. It is a cold cut-throat business and the bottom line is players are used up and thrown away. It is all about winning, and apparently they thought Love's medical condition would make him less reliable. They must have been worried about his medical condition affecting his play. They are the same team that drafted Marcus Cannon when he had cancer, signed Armond Armstead after he had a heart attack, let Tedy Bruschi come back from a stroke and allowed Matt Light to play for years with Crohn's disease. Love started 11 games for them last year, so he obviously was a guy they could use, they must have been pretty freaked out by his condition.

What's wrong with the post? "Worthless" might be a bit harsh but Troup has done next to nothing. He can barely stay on the field, and when he is, he's average at best. And the contract that Buddy gave to Fitz is sticking us with $3 million in dead cap this year and $7 million next year, so we are short on cap space.

The problem with the post is you're wrong. The Bills do have cap space the sites cap expert confirmed this
