Re: great SCOTT!!!
Hockey skill be damned. If you can beat up a Bruin, you can play for the Sabres.

But it's a good time for the goal judge to take a coffee break because there isn't going to be any offense.

I'm in the minority I guess I love hockey fights.... I think it is most exciting part of the game I am old school sabres fan, had tickets in 1972 i loved korab, schoony, and even gare. then Playfair was best time in hockey not for the slight of heart but u didn't see the cheap shots you do now you knew you were gonna catch a beating

Re: great SCOTT!!!
Hey I have nothing against the fighting. I'm just not sure that it's wise for a team lacking talent to use a roster spot on a pure goon like Scott. We need to find another guy like Gaustad who can fight but would still be a legit NHL 3rd or 4th liner even if he didn't fight.

Re: great SCOTT!!!
Guys used to fight AND play hockey. Scott only does one of those things. Whats the point of a glorified boxer on a team sport anyway?

Re: great SCOTT!!!
i like hockey fights, but i like players who have fight. give me a player who knows when to put his head down and get in front of the net and get under people's skin and be effective in getting others to take penalties and can score, i'm for that. Scott is just a 2 minute player that hardly exists in today's NHL. players need to be more than rob ray. that role is gone, yet we have him back in scott.
it's better to have him than not, but the team's issue is grit across all their players. the AHL sabres that played the second half of the year were willing to go to corners and win a battle. having 2 more fights a game isn't going to change that.
