#1 goalie on the #1 ranked country in hockey, but not good enough to play for the Sabres? I think he is better than Miller right now.

Good showing for Jhonas. Yesterday I said I thought Jhonas was a borderline starting goalie in the NHL perhaps he will prove me wrong someday and be a true No.1 guy. That obviously is never happening as long as Ryan Miller is a Sabre

#1 ranked country in hockey? If he pulls this off in Russia in 2014, then I'll believe it. The World Championship is a far cry from the Olympics on a talent level. Switzerland would have never made it in the top 4 if all the countries had thier top talent there. Switzerland isn't really the best hockey country in the world.

Objectively, they are. In 2013, at least. And with 18 medals in the last 27 tournaments, including 6 golds, they are certainly among the elite.

But yeah, I agree. I'm not sold on Enroth. He has some truly horrific games. Miller may be an the downswing, but I don't think Enroth will ever be as good as Miller at his best.

Miller needed to be gone like two years ago... like when he had trade value.

dump him leading up to draft... same with Vanek...

Pull the damn plug with the understanding that were stock piling young talent this year... and looking at a top 3 pick again next year.

and then get these young kids on the ice... Get them producing and add some vets along the way.

Jhonas will never be a starting goalie! He's exactly what Biron was when he was here a good backup with good skills and that is what Enroth has.

There is no way he is Sweden's top goalie. Lundqvist by a mile.

Enroth's trade value is probably as high as it can be right now!

There's probably a very good answer, but why the heck wouldn't they have the championships after the NHL playoffs? I'm pretty sure Sweden has ice year round.

It has always been during the NHL playoffs. Probably to do with it being a winter sport and if you wait until after the NHL playoffs, it's mid June. Plus the NHL offseason is short enough as it is. I can't imagine any player that made the conference finals or stanley cup finals would play.

But only one of those 27 tournaments had full participation (Olympics) and they finished 8th...I guess on paper they are number #1

enroth may never be a superstar, but it's worth trying to get him to into a starter roll while the rest of the team is built up. if miller has value (which i doubt because he's expensive and old, and most teams have a goalie that they are willing to role with).
