The Bills hosted a free agent for a visit at One Bills Drive Monday with an eye on their special teams unit.

Buffalo hosted free agent RB and special teams ace Montell Owens.

Owens (5'11", 225) has spent his entire seven-year NFL career with the Jacksonville Jaguars after making the club as an undrafted rookie in 2006.

Owens, 29, has been selected twice for the Pro Bowl as a special teamer. He also holds the Jaguars franchise record for special teams tackles in a season with 118.

Tied for league lead in fumbles lost and had a much lower number of carries (for RBs). Also was out twice last year. I don't think the Bills should even consider Freddy for a roster spot.

Seems like an upgrade to Tashard Choice. Worth bringing in.

Not sure he's a better RB than Tashard Choice.
